December 9, 2002 -- A top adviser to Saddam Hussein admitted yesterday that Iraq is on the verge of developing nuclear weapons.
"We have the complete documentation, from design to all the other things," Lt. Gen. Amir al-Saadi told reporters in Baghdad. "We haven't reached the final assembly of a bomb nor tested it."

Thanks for your kind words. This is a great remark by you that really sets up my chess game analogy:
What really makes it fun is that his opponents came prepared only for a checkers tournament.
Or, Never bring a checker board to a chess tournament and expect to wing it and win!:)

First it was Liberals. Then it was Progressives. Next I think it should be Panderers. They can change their party mascot from a donkey to a bear. Everyone loves Pander Bears.LOL! I agree with you, but they've chosen to go farther to the left and refer to themselves as "Centrists." (What the....?)

Is there anyone Iraq would rather (embarrass) than the U.S.?
Also, why is Gore already saying they are lying?
This could be interesting.
It causith me to think Clinton. Without inspectors in there, campain money could be made. ARG!

Does anyone else here think that last nights backdown notwithstanding, the very idea that Blix thought the US should not have the unedited documents means that it is time for Blix to be removed as incompetent. He and his teams are behaving like they are negotiating between equal partners (couldn't give the US an unfair advantage, could we) as if this were a 70's era arms control agreement between the moral equals of the Soviet Union and the US/Nato (remember Nuclear Freeze Now!). The UN sec council has become Saddams own defense attorney and the US is the one surely to be targeted by Iraqi WMD. (If they already did not target us in OKC, WTCI, 9/11, 9/11+anthrax). Blix needs to reread 1441 and reflect on the intent. IT WAS NOT MEANT AS A TEST TO SEE IF IRAQ WAS TRUTHFULLY DECLARING ITSELF WEAPONS FREE - IT WAS TO FORCE SADDAM TO DISARM, UNDER THREAT OF SEVERE CONSEQUENCES. Blix does not get it. Most of Europe does not get it. The UN has become irrelevent at this point and - Saddam's going to "get it".

My thoughts exactley people will shit their pants when they find out that the US was involed in Iraqs nuke program under Bill Clinton....Nuke tecnology to the Chinese for campaign money, then tech to Iraq...This id why the democrats are so deathly scared of George W Bush being succesful in Iraq.
It will all come out and then Clinton should be tried for treason and executed.

AND Who the hell cares what Al Gore thinks and what the hell does he have to do with this story Good question. I wondered why anyone would even care.

Thanks for the heads up!

I remain unimpressed by Lieberman and Gore.Lieberman has been pretty consistant on Iraq and supporting a hard line.

Enriched uranium doesn't need to be compressed in order to assemble a critical mass, but plutonium does. The design of the Little Boy bomb was quite simple - two sub-critical masses of highly-enriched uranium were driven together to form a single super-critical mass.
A suicide bomber could detonate a nuclear explosion by keeping two chunks of U-235 in his pockets and then slamming them together by hand when he reached his target.

What do you think about that?...hmmm...Gore calling Sodom a LIAR!
Aside from the obvious?
It's also the safe bet for Gore. It's apparent that Bush has detailed intel on Iraq.

Gore just can't make up his mind. Today he's on the enws saying the US should attack unilateraly when we prove Saddam lied and we find WMD. His loony suporters wont like this one bit.

"We have the complete documentation, from design to all the other things," Lt. Gen. Amir al-Saadi told reporters in Baghdad. "We haven't reached the final assembly of a bomb nor tested it."
It all depends on what the meaning of "is" is. In this case, when does a weapon become a weapon?
- When you have all the parts?
- When you assemble all the parts into a warhead?
- When you put the warhead on a delivery vehicle?
- When failsafe's are removed?
I can just see the UN lawyer fest debating if Iraq is in material breech if it hasn't actually armed its warheads.

Typical of Gore not to believe something he hasn't read. What exactly is it that he doesn't believe? Does he not believe in the report itself?
To: rintense
Of which the second is the most valuable in the long run.

Okay maybe it is me but...
Isnt this very, very big? The Iraqis are a breath away from Nukes. Werent all the Liberals clammoring that we cant act because we simply do not know if Iraq has WMD?
Also isnt this a breach of the former UN resolutions?

All the more reason to go in and destroy this madman's ability, how ever small, to develop WMD by putting him back to a harmless sandpile.
The above italicized statement by this arrogant heathen should be proof enough of a material infraction of the resolution covering the material in possession by the Butcher of Iraq.

That is part of his tactics in this master chess game to clear the board of the bad actors from the past 20 to 30 years. Case in point: Yasser bin Arafat. As Saddam's cat's paw, he would have created a lot of trouble for us later in the game. On 9-12-01, Bush and his cabinet sat down. They knew it was Hussein. They knew Hussein would use bioweapons to deter a retaliation, so it wasn't going to be a quick game. They knew they couldn't just kill Arafat -- the Nobel Prize Committee and the Euro-peons would stage a hissy fit. So he had to be squeezed out. What we saw with Arafat was a paradigm case of how the administration operates. Reading the pathetic "analysis" offered up by our punditocracy during this round of the game was revealing -- revealing of what a bunch of utterly shallow, naive nincompoops these soi-disant "experts" really are. Safest thing to do is ignore their blatherings, and work things out for yourself.
