I don't get a kick out of taking Bush to task on this. It seems to me it's a black and white issue. Evidently the President disagrees. I happen to believe that this issue strikes at the core of true conservatives like none other, especially in light of 09/11. I did not vote for Bush. I'm not saying right now that I wouldn't in the future. I can tell you I won't if he opens the borders, and it's pretty obvious that's were he intended to go. I know. I think he's doing a pretty good job on other areas, but this one particular issue is so critical! When our own people are taking up arms to defend our borders, there is something very, very wrong. If Bush doesn't change his position on this, and fast, I won't vote for him next time, either.
In fairness, I'm withholding my judgement on that until later. I do have reservations but I am willing to be swayed if he'll bother to make an attempt. So far he hasn't.
