To tell the absolute truth I would not have known about, nor cared a whit about this event if it hadn't been for the turmoil in Nigeria.
But anyhow, here is Miss Turkey:
Glad it's over, really. Whingeing lefties and radical Islamists make for sheer nausea.

This is from the Miss World website:
Azra Akin
Turkey
I was raised in the Netherlands by my parents who are both of Turkish Decent and I have a little sister. I have finished my secondary education and would like to on to study at the academy for Art & design and languages. At the age of four I began to take ballet lessons and since then it became my passion, I also enjoy modern dance, street dance and the belly dance. My hobbies are: drawing, reading and playing the German flute. In sport I like swimming, running and general fitness
Someone better not let Weird Bill see this, he'll be ringing her up and asking if she'd next like to take up the Arkansas piccolo. ;)

Is it any surprise that a Muslim Miss is Miss World?
Much like Nobel for Carter was a slap to Bush, this is purely a pacifying gesture to all those rioters.
Pathetic and unfair to this Turkish woman.

How did Miss USA do? I don't she got into the top 6. I only saw the results very briefly on the Miss World site before the server collapsed.
