Oh well ... 51 Senators ain't that bad. But we could have made it 53! This just goes to show that Republicans all too easily forget that money or the bully pulpit don't matter as much as votes.

The GOP needs to start an operation to grow our share of the minority vote PRONTO! All we need do is peel off 10% of the black vote around the country from the Democrats to actually become the majority party.

Anyway, Democrats would be gloating all the way to the news studios tomorrow. They won the last two races of the season ... AFTER they picked Pelosi to be their leader. This is REALLY annoying!

Well, I think Republicans can never get 10 percent of the black vote in most southern states. Every year we hear about how some Republican is drawing black votes, and perhaps Mayor Bloomberg did last year. But in most races in the South when all the returns come in, the GOP has virtually none of the black vote. About the only blacks who vote Republican in the South must be the few black admirers of Justice Thomas or something.

Any Democrat gloating tomorrow can be easily shown to be a fool. They lost control of the Senate, of Georgia, and possibly redistricting gains in several Southern states. They control zero in DC.

Dem gloating will be like an idiot football player celebrating a tackle when his team has already blown the game.
