Tell us how crowded/not crowded it was when you went to vote!
Did you see voter fraud and what is the talk about exit polling and the possible outcome?

Yipes! That's okay....I stand by my Terrell by 6 prediction.

So that's why LA remains so Democrat; LSU grads have brought their "LA Republicanism" to TX, which has become hard-core Republican. That leaves mostly the in-state natives to keep up the "democrat" tradition a/la Landrieu?

The machine was won 19 straight Chicago mayoral elections since 1928 with the likes of Richard Daley pere and fils, the deceased gluttons Harold Washington (for food) and Michael Bilandic (loot), and Jane what's her name Byrne whom I last saw getting soused on a United (blast from the soon-to-be past) flight in first class last year. Nobody recognized her. But I did.
If Porky Pig ran for mayor, he'd carry all 50 wards if endorsed by the Cook County Democrat Party slate-making committee. The precinct captains could certain identify with the Disney porker.

And what percentage of LSU grads visit LSU Tiger message boards? It's tiny. Also many of these boards have Admins that delete those posts soon after they are posted because they aren't sports-related.

Sandler's character would be the intellectual light of the Louisiana Democrat party.

But not before he takes several more severe concussions in the game.

Would it be possible to keep this thread near the top on the sidebar so we don't get duplicate threads on this important race?
To: ewing
Four or five times, I would expect.
To: Man of the Right
I heard Billy Cannon had already voted too.

Don't underestimate the GOP undercurrent in LA. The GOP collectively received 61.4% of the total US Congressional votes cast in the state.
Lousiana may not be TX, but it's not a Rhode Island either (extreme comparison).

The way this election has been put on the black voters, if I was one of them I'd be saying "kiss my *ass" to Mary, and staying home. The way they use blacks gets more obvious all the time. Sooner or later they're going to start getting it and realize they should be offended. If not, then they're dumber than the average Rat.

Time to go vote......

One thing that hasn't been commented on is the overwhelming negativity of this campaign. In the past several weeks the candidates ads have abandoned saying anything positive at all about themselves and concentrated solely on attack ads against the other candidate. Whether it's turned off voters enough that a significant number say "to hell with both of you" and stay home remains to be seen.
It's even more evident in the 5th district Congressional race, in which Fletcher and Alexander are basically accusing each other of being liars and tax evaders...and frankly, I think they may both be right. I SERIOUSLY don't like either one of those guys. Why Barham didn't make a better showing in the primary is a mystery to me. He's head and shoulders above both Fletcher and Alexander in character and ideas. Maybe next time.

OK, maybe we can simplify this whole election... which candidate has bigger ta tas?
To: Man of the Right
Pistol Pete Maravich Please remove Pete Maravich from your list. Before his tragic amd untimely death, he became a strong Christian and very good friends with James Dobson. He was no democrat!
To make up for this loss in your list, I propose adding Bryant Gumbel (born in New Orleans). I KNOW he is a demorat! I know, I know, he's not dead ...but did you see his ratings before he bailed on network TV? May as well have been dead.
