Did you see voter fraud and what is the talk about exit polling and the possible outcome?

IMHO, any hunters who do not vote should break evenly and cause no discenable advantage for either party. I say this with only anecdotal evidence from experiences and talking with people.

The LSU game in Georgia would have caused more of a problem for Terrell because I believe the majority of the 20,000 plus fans would have been her supporters. Votes she would really need in a close election.

I feel side-swiped by the Indian issue, though. Does anyone have any information about mass registration drives on reservations? Could we be looking at the same tactics used in SD? I know EWE used stalling tactics to prevent them from opening Casinos to protect his buddies' casinos from competition. I hope they remember to which party he belonged.

Attorney General Ieyoub is a very liberal Democrat. Governor Foster is a RINO who would've endorsed Landrieu if not for a phone call from Dubya.

Serious election fraud doesn't tend to occur, when both sides are giving the process a-lot of attention and have clout.

We are witnessing today the beginning of a new era in Louisiana and US politics. For starters, this idea that EVERY black will vote Democrat will be gone. The idea that Orleans parish [same area as the City] can be another Chicago, can just rack up huge Dem blowouts to cancel the rest of the State, will also go by the boards. I do feel Terrell will run 10 points behind in Orleans, what she does statewide as a whole, but the day is coming when a Republican carries Orleans.

My classic prediction from a week ago in this race, which has no third parties, write ins or other confusing factors, is that Terrell will have 54.57% and Landrieu the other 45.43%.

At the moment, it is 61* degrees here in Jax Fla beach area, and some 52* degrees in New Orleans, clear and dry in both cases. I do believe that if President Bush were running against Gore again, he would get very close to 70% of the vote cast in La. today.

Trial runs yielded some 55.88% Terrell last night and 55.6% as I type right now, but my results have been so consistent around that 54.57 that I am hesitiant to mess with it.

Here's something I've just read on Fox News:

"A local elections official said voter turnout was low Saturday morning in Orleans Parish.

Registrar of Voters Louis Keller said he was disappointed by the relatively small number of people who voted in New Orleans. But Keller says he expects the numbers to swell as the day goes on."

I pray, oh I pray, that the good Lord will help Suzie Terrell and Lee Fletcher win.

It's already beginning to happen. The election of Ray Nagin began to move New Orleans at least toward the center. In probably a decade, New Orleans will start voting at least 40% Republican. And probably in our lifetimes, New Orleans will have a Republican mayor.

Certain computer modeling programs I have about this election, it is a real classic to work with, since there are no Ralph Naders or Libertarians or Perot or anything.

It has the potential, showing up there now, of a real newsmaker about the Black voters behavior, both in staying home in a record for an election so widely watched, and also [even more so] for going on and taking the ride to the polls and whatever the Dems are offering, and then turning around and voting for Terrell!

We saw in South Dakota the amazingly docile and "owned" behavior of Indians in Shannon and Todd counties especially, still very much on the Reservation.

But this could well be the day the Black Voter in the South, says, I am off the Democrat Plantation for Good, Free at Last. [*Certainly the middle-class and prosperous Blacks, at the very least.]
