Tell us how crowded/not crowded it was when you went to vote!
Did you see voter fraud and what is the talk about exit polling and the possible outcome?

"Farmer Jim" Jeffords could be to VT the way Commissar Breaux is to LA: his political career will end when HE says it will end.

Specter would run as a Democrat and win the state as a Democrat-- why does it matter whether Pat Toomey wants to run against him in the primary?

Perkins did support Terrell immediately after she won. He helped get what little of the pro-life got out today.

Maybe .. maybe not .. But I won't be putting any bets on Jeffords to win

Dems do OK only when they scare voters. And the TV ads are too public for the really gross stuff. I thought Brazile would run a great scare phone campaign. I heard that both sides used a lot of last minute phone calls.
Did anyone get the Dem phone calls?
What did they say?

Specter is up for re-election in 2004. He's also looking mighty senile these days. Have you heard any of his rambling speeches recently?

But he's still the go-to guy when it comes to Scottish law as it applies to the US Constitution....

Did it appear that prolifers were among those who did not bother to vote? That is a little surprising. But in so many ways, as one contributors hundreds of posts earlier said, this election was ultimately about DEMOGRAPHICS. LA people are blacker, poorer, less educated, more apathetic than the national average. That makes it hard to beat any incumbent, and especially to dislodge a Democrat senator liked by most of the citizens. And Terrell was just not an appealing candidate -- she was in fact put up by Karl Rove and the RNC when Cooksey was faltering even before the filing deadline. I guess David Duke is laughing at the LA Republican establishment after its double defeat tonight. He knows what it is like to lose in LA too!

Breaux backed Landrieu hard either because (1) he wanted to show Bush that he's still got clout or (2) he's a closet liberal. My guess is (2). Bush should retaliate against Breaux, Foster, Cooksey, Holloway, and the rest of them.

Well, Arlen is what 70? Or 75? I am not sure.

Is there any difference between Louisiana and Mexican sugar? If not, I'd say bring on the Mexican sugar...
To: Hermann the Cherusker
Specter has been senile since Day One. He's the same dolt who came up with the "magic bullet" theory.
How about some election results?
Would someone repost the links to the best sites?
This thread is long on opinion (including mine) and short on info.

No it wasn't Pelosi - it was the BLACK vote. I know this may not be PC - but I could really give a care - THEY will NEVER leave the plantation. THEY are settled in. Best to focus on Hispanics and other newcomers who prize being a citizen of the republic.
ALWAYS discount the black vote. Cherish every individual who through intelligence or moral saneness crosses over - but the majority - statistically speaking - are without hope or pride. They are bought and paid for by the welfarism of the Dims. I could be wrong - but that is my opinion.
