Not sure; there's a few around there. I don't know where the bank is.

vice president and branch manager Jay Curry, who was in the building for a board of directors meeting. The BOD may have been the target. Until I knew otherwise, I'd assume the crash could have released a biological agent.

From WSVN-TV/DT Miami:MIAMI -- A small plane crashed into Federal Reserve Bank Building in Miami Thursday night and one body was recovered from the wreckage, the bank's branch manager said. No one inside the building was injured.
The aircraft slammed into the northeast side of the bank about 8:45 p.m., exploded and burst into flames. About 90 people were evacuated from the 28,000-square-foot building.
"When we first came out of and walked around the side, it was really hard to determine that it was a plane," said vice president and branch manager Jay Curry, who was in the building for a board of directors meeting. "There wasn't much to view except the smoke and fire."
The building also houses the Miami bureau of The Associated Press.

Didn't we have a small plane crash into a building in Fla. last year (post 9/11)?
That was a misguided suicide as I remember.

I sure haven't heard anything about it on FOX...odd when you consider their day staff covers every car chase in California. You'd think this would be REALLY exciting for them.
Of course, it's dark in Miami right now....

The Fed building is near the airport, but not exacly close to it. It may well be in the flight line to one of the runways.
Not too long ago a DC-8 didn't quite make the runway. Took out a block just past 72nd Ave, about a 1/2-mile short of the runway.
I doubt this was a targeted landing (lol!)... unless, perhaps, someone was upset at the new bank notes design? Or maybe at rumors of Sir Alan's retirement?

Yes, that's what it seemed like. The son told the media his dad was feeling suicidal. This sounds like another example of a dip---- wanting to kill himself, but wanting to hurt other people too (and bring down the evil capitalist system, and whatnot).
I'm just glad nobody was injured.

Yes, the misguided suicide had a Middle-Eastern father who divorced his mother. The press suppressed that.

Yeah - by a young man whose dad was a Middle Easterner, and who IIRC left behind a jihad-oriented suicide note.
