Gee, you must be pretty tough. I'm sure everyone is impressed.
Tell you what, as a father of a four year old, I'm sick and tired of irresponsible dog owners letting their giant dogs come charging towards my boy. I would kill a million damm dogs to stop my son from getting "scratch's and bruises" because of your irresponsibility.
I'm sure had a concerned parent iced the damm dog, as is their right to do in protection of their children, the dog owners would sue.
A word to all dog owners. I don't know you. I don't know your dog. I don't want to know you or your dog. I don't care if you say "he dosen't bite". I will not risk my son's death or disfiguration to be nice to you.
Keep your mutt on a leash or risk it's death.

OK! This is for all the parents: We have a huge golden, 10 years old and mellow as jello. We also have two younger working dogs - border collie and blue healer.
All three dogs in the back of the truck and off to town for a little shopping. None of the dogs would think about leaving the back of the truck. It's their truck!
Mother going by lifts her little cutie pie up the side of the truck so she can pet the cute little doggies. I barely made it there in time to halt the whole charade. Took me about three minutes to explain to the air head mother that no one should ever let children get close to strange dogs period in any situation. This lady ?? was most unfriendly and basically told me to go to H### and that I should not have had "my viscous dogs out in public". Go figure.

Do you smash up those dangerous two-wheeled death traps so many irresponsible kids carelessly zip around on these days? How about those nasty stepped inclines so irresponsibly built into far too many homes? ...or those evil, electric and gas torture machines present in almost every kitchen, but responsible for so many horrible burns when innocent children reach up and put their hands on the bright red circles.
Mister... dogs are part of life. There are going to be constant dangers present in your grand kids' lives. Teach your grand kids to deal with problems instead of irrationally trying to rid the world of all of them. Dogs get loose. Bikes crash. Make your grand kids stronger instead of fighting the losing battle of making their safety everyone else's problem. Especially when it's a friendly dog we're talking about, he needs to deal with it.

Take a pill!
If I were you I would spend some time teaching your kids about dog behavior and dangerous breeds. There is much information, but do not teach fear.
Dogs sense fear and they respond with fear and sometime aggressive behavior, because of it..
It is emotional twits like you who actually do more harm than good to your children with this kind of attitude.
