Child removed from family because she was loved too much
An aunt and uncle have lost their fight to keep custody of a child who's almost two years old.
She was removed from her mother, placed in foster care and then placed with the aunt and uncle.
Now, she's going back to foster care because of what the aunt and uncle did, they loved her too much.
Judge Frank Gomez says the little girls aunt and uncle loved the two-year-old too much and did not belong with the family.
Maybe the solution would be a direct public election of a board of commissioners to oversee such custody decisions. I don't have much respect for the wisdom of the American Voter but he's at least half-human, on average, and I don't always think that about some of the protected-by-obscurity judges who render decisions like this.
Well, I am with you on speeding up the process...so we as a society, can begin to put an end to the horribly cruel methods DCF and others utilize when removing a child from their home. And I think this can be done, via pagers, cell phones and other devices that would enable access to judges even when they are on the golf course. I mean, we page physicians 24/7, right?
Oh there are some good ones out there. You just hear more about the bad ones. Glad to see Jeb is taking an interest in the case. Maybe it can be straightened out quickly. I hope so, with kids every day really does count.

I don't know about you but, when I was growing up, I bonded to my mother, my father, two sets of grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, cousins and my aunt's pet dog.
A child bonds to those that love him/her be it a parent, grandparent, other relatives, family firends or a Cocker Spaniel. There is no biological limit to the human power to love.
If judges are striving to have children brought up by adults who remain unloving, they may as well contract out foster care to Romanian orphanages. Such an upbringing only produces psychologically messed up teenagers and adults.
If the mother cannot get the child to bond with her, then maybe the mother should be examining how she is interacting with the child.....if she is interacting with the child at all.
Thank God for JEB! I am saying a prayer for him and his family before I push the post button. I cannot express how comforting it is, knowing that my governor is a caring, loving human being. God bless you Governor, sir. :)
But Nuke'm...where did you hear that JEB is already looking into this for this little girl? Was JEB on tv tonight?
In a normal environment I would say you are correct. But.. You would not say that if you lived apart from your daughter and she was continually told that you were bad and that nobody could love her like the temporary parents do. Not allowing or encouraging a two year old's love for her mother is smothering a two year old.
I must admit that this needs to be resolved between the mother and her demons. I assumed that she was coming out of the program all cleaned up and was ready to take on her role in her daughter's life. BUT ... On the video I MAY have heard that it would take another year. If that's the case forget it, terminate parental rights and place the child in a loving home.
I read your post and watched the new video. The circumstances behind the alleged death of the alleged twin are too vague. The court has the information. Custody by the mother is still the goal of the court or the "bonding" issue would not have been a factor in removing the girl from the aunt and uncle. The mother was not charged with a crime in relation to the alleged death of the other child was she? The Goins (aunt and uncle) blamed her in some degree but did the police or social services blame her?
So it was the Goins that initiated the action to have the child removed from the mother in the first place. I would like to know more about them, their relationship to the mother and the original incident that started all of this. Hopefully a more objective reporter will get involved.
