Another busy day for President Bush today as he signed a few new bills and hosted the lighting of the White House Menorah. The President signed the 'Anton's Law' which requires shoulder belts in addition to lap straps in the middle rear seats of vehicles. Bush also signed the Dot Kids Implementation and Efficiency Act, which creates a new kids-safe 'dot-kids' domain on the Internet that would contain only material appropriate for children under 13. After signing the bill, he took questions from the media, and once again stated that he is not optimistic regarding the inspections in Iraq. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura hosted Afghani teachers as they learn to become master teachers, who will eventually be responsible for training teachers back in their home country. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

The economy has been on the up-swing for 3 straight quarters, The GDP has grown at a rate of 5.2% this year so far. I find that absolutely incredible considering what we had happen on Sept. 11th. I believe this past years growth will go down in history as an example of just how strong this country is. All these people who keep pounding the drum of negativity are only doing it in an effort to bring down George W. Bush. What I find very disturbing is that the Liberals would rather see the economy fail in hopes that it might give them a better chance in regaining power. I have nothing but contempt for people like this. Thank goodness for the internet and websites like this, where we can get the truth, methinks the democrats will never be in the majority again for 3 or more decades

It's very rare to find conservative instructors at colleges and universitiesHey, I'm one too! :o)
And female as well.......in case you couldn't tell from my posts! ;o)
I'm with DrDeb.......join the College Republican Club if you haven't already. There are a whole lot more conservative students than profs on college campuses these days! Maybe you can all gang up on the faculty and shame them for their wanton leftist ideology!

Time will tell on the economy. I will not push my case further here -- that would serve no good purpose.
Yes it is despicable to wish America ill in hopes of regaining power.
The internet helped bring down the Soviet Union, connecting dissenters. And it is helping to end the last great wave of leftism in America.

Do you remember a few years back when it snowed almost an inch here about a week before Christmas? My kids had a blast! We had snowball fights, walked around the block with it snowing, and built a partial snowman.

The poor schleps want to see only the negative, Miss Marple. They are sorry excuses for human beings, IMO. They don't have to like the President .. but they aren't just negative .. they are down right nasty .. kind of reminds me of the people pver at the DU ..

I have developed my own definition of the negative (liberal) types from months of reading here at FR.....
ARROGANT and IGNORANT SNOBS
So, every time I hear of someone whining about our President and our country.....I just repeat the above....because, that IS what they are...
To: Mo1
Yeah, they're nasty alright. But they reveal volumes about themselves and their empty souls when they bash
this President.
I don't know how people can be so hostile unless they are on the dark side spiritually.
I have been absolutely giddy since January 20, 2001 because we have a RIGHTEOUS leader! I don't have to agree with every detail of everything he does, because I know that he seeks wisdom from the ONE who is far greater than I, and I trust him to do what he thinks is best in all circumstances.

I loved Maryland when I lived down there many years ago. It snowed only once that whole winter.
Last winter, up here in Western New York, we had five feet of snow in one day last December. My gutters crashed down, and tree limbs kept falling on the roof.
However, we later realized that was nothing compared to the January ice storm which left us without electricy for two and a half days. That meant no lights, no furnace and no way to cook. A small woodburner in the family room kept us from freezing, but the rest of the house was icy.
Thank God for batteries in the radio. It kept us sane. Ooops, I'd better go get some new batteries.

What struck me today about the Bush Bashers, was a thread I was pinged about GWB reversing one of Clinton's Executive Orders that provided unemployment insurance for pregnant mothers even though they were not fired or laid off. The usual so-called conservatives who regularly bash the POTUS were complaining about him doing this. These are the same people who claim he is no different than the democrats because of his spending in the past 2 years.
Talk about hypocrisy :-)
