If homoesexuality is a result of mental illness, then why would the AMA decide it wasn't? Just because gays lobbied them? Do you believe that if schizophrenics or depressives lobbied the AMA they could get a change?

Yes. I think they caved under political pressure and used Kinsey's pseudoscience as a rationalization.

I think it's the Psychiatric or psychological group that changed its mind regarding homosexuality. The whole profession is on the fringe of hard science. You could call it para-science. On what basis could this group say that homosexuality is not a mental illness?

Certainly homosexuality is abnormal, by definition. More importantly, it's unnatural and unhealthy. And using that criteria for defining mental illness I would classify homosexuality as such. Homosexuality is as unnatural and crazy as trying to eat with one's ears.
