I must admit I don't know who Edwards is...
At least with a vote for Terrell she'll get a few good committee assignments per her agreement with Lott...
To: Torie
I think Terrell wants to eliminate the Clinton tax increase on S.S. benefits. That actually wouldn't cost that much. I think maybe $10 billion a year.

I wish they'd do it... I make 34,100 a year and I pay taxes on my husband's Soc Sec because I make too much... and we are senior citizens... my husband is disabled in his 40s

The NRSC Terrell ads that ran often during the primary showed her $1M+ DC home. LOL. When she is in New Orleans she lives at her parents home in the Garden District, another very impressive residence well beyond the means of most Louisiana taxpayers.

not all of us!!!!!

Exactly!! For a six-year incumbent, Landrieu was NOT very impressive. Terrell started off a little shaky but got better with each question. She killed Landrieu in the closing comment segment. Last thing heard is the first thing remembered.

What they need to do down there is get Edwards out of jail, and put him in the Senate.
I think maybe EWE is happy where he is..... or from the following email that's been floating around......
EDWIN--WITH LOVE FROM PRISON
Dear Candy,
I miss you so much. It's terrible that you can only visit twice a year. Please don't worry about me, though. It's boring here, but not too bad. The golf, tennis, and fishing seem to make the days pass more quickly.
My cell isn't quite as large as they promised... one bath and a small balcony. Enclosed is a picture with the guards. They are very kind and understanding.
Love,
Edwin

On a campaign trip to LA, Lott virtually guaranteed that Suzie would get some plum assignmeents but he wasn't all that optimistic that Landrieu would be able to keep her is Terrell should lose. LOL.
Edwards is a charismatic, cajun, former governor who just went to federal prison for ten years. Need I say he is a democrat ? LOL

I saw the last 20 minutes. I thought Terrell did better than in her other performances. Her closing statement seemed pretty good. She did an outstanding job responding to that Landrieu question about the flat tax/home ownership. Terrell seemed more human, Landrieu seemed more knowledgable.

This debate was an attempted hit on Terrell.....all the interruptions, the softball leading questions to Landrieu. The panel was so obviously partisan toward Landrieu it made me sick. Terrell handled it really well, though, and her closing statement was very well done. With the President coming in tomorrow, this election is in a near perfect posture for Suzie Terrell IMHO.
To: Darlin'
Well they already have one Democrat in the Gov house why would want another one in the senate instead of Landrieu?

This debate was an attempted hit on Terrell.....
Yep looked that way to me.... Do you know if this was carried by local televison across LA or was it just the NO area plus CSPAN

I agree. Terrell's closing remarks were very well done.

Tim Coulon has all Republicans livid because he had the gall to endorse Mary Landrieu. Coulon is currently Jefferson Parish President and is term limited out. Rumor has it that he is seeking employment after he leaves office and believes that connecting with Landrieu will land him a good job. Coulon is persona non grata in my circles. If he dares to show up at any events, he will be crucified and ostracized. We want to tell him that if he ever decides to run for public office again, we will work day and night to defeat him. He is a RINO; he changed parties to run for office in Jefferson Parish, which votes Republican. NEVER TRUST RINOS!!!!!!

Her campaign has been stressing that point. I think tomorrow when President Bush speaks at that large Terrell rally in Shreveport that will become more obvious to everyone. One of the two state, black leaders that Landrieu wasn't kinda "snippy" about tonight lives in that area. LOL. I wonder if he plans to attend... maybe that was why so was so ugly about it tonight. LOL

"This debate was an attempted hit on Terrell....."It didn't seem that bad. First time I have see either of them. As an outsider I kept asking myself, "Is this the best Lousiana can do?" Then I think, who am I critizing, I got Arlan Spector and Ed Rendell here.
To: Patriot1
Bump!!!! Have any more names of treacherous Louisiana RINOs other than Foster and Coulon? We need to put the Louisiana RINO on the endangered species list so we can actually build a Louisiana GOP.

Ralph Reed is the State GOP Chairman for the state of Georgia and is credited with the Saxby Chambliss victory over Senator Max Cleland on Nov. 5. Ralph is a political genius but how will his visiting LA help Suzie? Clue me in.
