I think the party is finally waking up to play hardball with the Dims

This is excellent news. Ralph Reed knows how to put together a Voter Guide and fire up the base.

Well, he obviously did a heckuva job in Georgia...but in the absence of an overriding issue like the flag, I wonder if he'll be as effective. Hope so...

That seems like a stretch... There are only 5 days left. Organizing a get out the vote effort takes weeks. If they don't have it done by now,... Reed is not going to get it done.

It would be more likely he is being brougt in to organize the prevent Dems from cheating effort.

Agreed, there must be murmurs of voter fraud going around already.

The Dems will have to play everything in their cheating playbook because the Republican base is more fired up already than the whiney Dems here in Louisiana. But, all outside help is welcome.

He could establish quite a reputation as a political operative for himself if he can pull this one off.

I suspect the dead have already been awakened to vote in the French Quarter.

Anyone who thinks the republicans confide in Robert Novak is making a big mistake. He hears rumors and reports them.

This race hinges on the back vote. If Landrieu gets it out she wins. I am sure the Democrats are doing all they can to get out the black vote. But that depends on the black political leaders mostly in New Orleans. So far this year blacks have not made the effort they did in 2000. It remains to be seen if they will do it here.

A lot of blacks are beginning to think that they need to make the Democratrs do things for them. Lots of black voters feel taken for granted. The natural human reaction is you don't know what you've got until it is gone.

It will be interesting to hear what the campaigs are doing and what they are doing with commercials.

"I suspect the dead have already been awakened to vote in the French Quarter."

Not just that, but they have also been awakened in Baton Rouge and Shreveport too. The lawyers in New Orleans are on standby in case of a Terrell win. The illegal aliens have been prepped along with the mentally retarded for election day. Finally, Big Gaming has buses on standby to take Dim voters to the polls. Also, the New Orleans media has switched to almost nothing but Landrieu propaganda.

New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin has NOT campaigned for Landrieu or made any public appearances for Landrieu. Some food for thought.

IT seems to me it's much too late. Organizing takes a lot of time and effort. Maybe he can make a marginal difference.

Those voters from the Casinos should be primed and ready to ride the Dims voting buses after about 4-5 morning cocktails..

Too late for that. I cannot imagine what he can do at this point, the hay is in the barn, I would think.

This sounds like a supervisory role to stamp out fraud to me.
