Worst famine is a bit shy of an adequate description, wouldn't you say?

Destruction of farms and crops = planned food shortage = deliberate famine?

What is this? Why do none call it by its true name? MASS MURDER!

Do we conclude from this that a single digit IQ is required to become a politician or that they are truly evil.

Mugabe is a very intelligent man, in terms of being book-smart, as are many of his cabinet members.

This is a problem of evil, pure and simple. Portraying them as imbeciles only lets them off the hook for their diabolical choices.

"Last week, a local food security monitoring organisation warned that half of all Zimbabwean households had run out of all food stocks, while the rest had less than one month's supply left.

If this is accurate, there has been a turn for the worse, even as desperate as the situation has been.

If even the favored sector of the population has less than one months supply of food on hand, your predicted gotterdamarung is imminent.

May I say that the ruling sector and its cronies thought they could exempt themselves from hunger, but it appears otherwise. It could not happen to a more deserving plutocracy.
