President Bush finds himself in a rare disagreement with conservatives in his party over his efforts to portray Islam as a peaceful religion that is not responsible for anti-American terrorism.
In a score of speeches since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, the president has called for tolerance of Muslims, describing Islam as "a faith based upon peace and love and compassion" and a religion committed to "morality and learning and tolerance."

In a time of war, the "enemy" is always made out to be a monolithic beast. "Japs", "Krauts", and now the various incarnations of the spellings of "Muslims". That's the nature of psyching up "for the kill".
bingo!

Hint: nuking Mecca is not a viable answer. I'm glad the leaders of the USA didn't think that way during WWII or many thousands of WWII vets would have never made it home. When your enemy has declared war against you then you seek to destroy them before they destroy you.
Peace activist are indirectly responsible for the death of untold millions.

Tell me which sources will you believe to be accurate? All sources can be labeled as biased depending on who is telling, and who is listening. I believe the source I gave you. This is happening all over the country, and in Europe. No matter how they want to spin it, it is a double standard from how they treat other religions. Please remember to report back to me, I am very interested.

I'll look harder for the chapter on the Bible where Christ urged Jews to avenge his death. Obviously you never read the Bible to make such a comment.
While you are "looking" so hard through the Bible, why not take the time to actually read some of it?

There was one much like him in American history, who also started a very large, illogical cult that claims to add to the Bible, but I won't mention it by name and start another argument on this thread. But there are many paralells between the conception and founders of the two cults.
I think I know who you are talking about. And if you know what has happened to that cult, you know that they have changed much of the most illogical stuff to come across more mainstream. Most of what the first 2 false prophets taught would be too socially unacceptable. There are still a great many in this country who follow the illogical teachings of these men, and some who go even further into it with their own revelations. I believe these men were following after their own lusts, but had help from Satan with the inspirations.

Well I'm certainly proud that my tax dollars are being used to fund White House dinners celebrating Ramadan. Those dollars certainly aren't used to buy Christmas and Hanukkah ornaments or dinners.

Thank you for the historical perspective and a thoughtful piece. Saving this one for further study.

Sounds like you do know what I'm talking about. I agree with all your statements about it.

Obviously, you lack the ability to understand sarcasm.
Perhaps a few remedial English night school classes are in order for you.

"Tell me which sources will you believe to be accurate?"You linked me to a source that appears to be some sort of Law firm a la Judicial Watch. The issue was reported by them with an obvious bias, all one has to do is read the article.
I don't believe any source, other than my own eyes and ears, to be un-biased, which is why I always make certain to read and understand every side of an issue.
We would all be way better off if we would regularly do the same.
Spin and propaganda is not good, even when it is generated by "our" side.
