PRESIDENT BUSH SURPRISES PRO-LIFE LEADERS BY SELECTING KISSINGER FOR 9-11 POST

Kissinger Strongly Implicated in Population Control and Abortion

WASHINGTON, November 29, 2002 (LifeSiteNews.com) - U.S. President George W. Bush announced Wednesday that he had selected former secretary of state Henry Kissinger as chairman of a new independent commission to investigate the September 11 attacks. Pro-life leaders were surprised by the selection given the President's aversion to coercive abortion and Kissinger's close association with it.

President Bush was praised by the pro-life community internationally for his defunding of the United Nations Population Fund due to their association with the forced abortion and coercive sterilization practices in China. However, Kissinger was intimately associated with coercive population control as he is the author of the now-declassified national security study memorandum calling for population control - coercive if necessary, in the third world.

Gilles Grondin, a veteran United Nations diplomat and past President of Le Mouvement en faveur de la Vie/Campaign Quebec Vie, (the pro-life movement in Quebec), told LifeSite that he was surprised by President Bush's selection of Kissinger. Grondin, who with his vast UN experience has been one of the most successful pro-life lobbyists at the UN, points out that Kissinger's memo NSSM 200 formed the basis of U.S. foreign policy in the area of population.

Grondin explained that the Memorandum suggested that competition from new world powers would rise when developing nations had sufficient populations to utilize their national resources to their full potential. Thus, NSSM 200 was about ensuring U.S. strategic, economic, and military interest, at the expense of developing countries, by proposing population control including by coercive means if mere propaganda could not succeed.

You don't get paid for that.

Of course, like me, I'm sure you too have been paid for articles you have written that were published in print periodicals ;-)

To me #3 is the only viable one! You just don't have more kids than you can support. If birth control means less children to people that cannot afford them, then I am all for it.

You're so blind, you don't even see option 4, the real "conservative" option.

Cherrypicking scricpture, to use to try to substanciate your own position, is blasphemous ; but, I can also play that game.

It says, in the Bible, that no one shall be fed ( as to helping the poor ), who will not work.

It also says that widows and orphans should be looked after; NOT the bastards, of loose women and their lovers.

Jesus didn't order any nations to feed, house, clothe, and generally take care of those who were irressponsible.

First Mother Teresa ( are you sure you've spelled that right ? I'm using your spelling and it looks WRONG ! ), now you think you're the Christ ? What next, poly ? You're too funny for words.

"Now you think that you're just like Mother Teresa?"

No such small ambitions for Polycarp who posts this picture on his page.

Now do you want to re-ask who he thinks he's just like?

And we haven't even mentioned AIDS yet. Isn't AIDS rampant in many of those third world countries?

Potion #4 ... in your lexicon ... make EVERYONE poor, by making them support everyone else and their children. Yep, that works ... NOT !

The concept of "population control", particularly when applied liberally to one's enemies, would seem appropriate in time of war.

This country is under no obligation to feed, clothe, or house ANYONE. If an individual's conscience motivates them to take INDIVIDUAL(if futile) action, fine. But let no one FORCE such "compassion" on anyone else. That is evil.

And as for this (polycarp's) sentiment, mirrored in many Leftist and Islamist organs, that we OURSELVES are to blame for the vicious attacks upon US, that crappile has been urinated on enough.

Kissinger's fine with me; at least he's a realist. None of the trillions of dollars in "compassion" that we have to date expended has resulted in much "compassion" returned towards us; thus, it is futility itself.

Let our treasure be spent upon the defeat of our enemies, not the feeding of them. IMHO, one B-52 does more good than any amount of "charity" to the third world, at least for us. Most of their problems lie in their own governments; a few Arc Lights on the correct capitals would save us a LOT of foreign aid money.

Hmmmm .. I haven't read the whole thread yet so I'm not sure how y'all got on this topic .. and I don't claim to be a great Catholic .. I'm still working on that

But ... you are laying it on a little thick ..

Yes, we should be charitable and help those in need .. but I also can't help be reminded of an old saying .. God helps those who help themselves. Which I would alsi interpret as one taking personal responsibility.

I'm not saying we shouldn't help people .. but they also have a responsibility

Well since you're the self annointed definer of conservatism I'm sure you'll enlighten us.

Very true about AIDS! It is rampant in most of Africa and a very good reason for condoms. Maybe that will be the next long paper!

No it's not, I have been laughing since I came on this thread.

It starts the thread about Kissinger investigating 9/11 and turns it into an antiabortion thread.  Totally off topic.  When that don't work it goes on to feeding the world which again has nothing to do with the 9/11 investigation.

I call that very laughable.:)

A condom cannot stop the HIV virus from passing through its pores. The virus is so small that it can easily fit through the pores of a condom.

Condoms can only help prevent pregnancy from occurring, they do little too nothing to stop the spread of AIDS.
