PRESIDENT BUSH SURPRISES PRO-LIFE LEADERS BY SELECTING KISSINGER FOR 9-11 POST

Kissinger Strongly Implicated in Population Control and Abortion

WASHINGTON, November 29, 2002 (LifeSiteNews.com) - U.S. President George W. Bush announced Wednesday that he had selected former secretary of state Henry Kissinger as chairman of a new independent commission to investigate the September 11 attacks. Pro-life leaders were surprised by the selection given the President's aversion to coercive abortion and Kissinger's close association with it.

President Bush was praised by the pro-life community internationally for his defunding of the United Nations Population Fund due to their association with the forced abortion and coercive sterilization practices in China. However, Kissinger was intimately associated with coercive population control as he is the author of the now-declassified national security study memorandum calling for population control - coercive if necessary, in the third world.

Gilles Grondin, a veteran United Nations diplomat and past President of Le Mouvement en faveur de la Vie/Campaign Quebec Vie, (the pro-life movement in Quebec), told LifeSite that he was surprised by President Bush's selection of Kissinger. Grondin, who with his vast UN experience has been one of the most successful pro-life lobbyists at the UN, points out that Kissinger's memo NSSM 200 formed the basis of U.S. foreign policy in the area of population.

Grondin explained that the Memorandum suggested that competition from new world powers would rise when developing nations had sufficient populations to utilize their national resources to their full potential. Thus, NSSM 200 was about ensuring U.S. strategic, economic, and military interest, at the expense of developing countries, by proposing population control including by coercive means if mere propaganda could not succeed.

"I didn't know that Catholics allowed anti-life people to remain in their church."

Hell, I didn't know that Catholics allowed anti-life people to remain on their threads.

We control no nation's population,

I only wish that were the case. Most international loans to third world countries have stipulations of population control goals that must be met, by coercive measures if necessary:

November 14, 1997 Volume 1, Edition 8

The World Bank Banks on Population Control

World Bank officials disclosed this week the extent of current Bank involvement in international population control programs. Speaking at a briefing on Wednesday at UN Headquarters, Dr. Richard Feachem, World Bank Director for Health, Nutrition and Population(HNP), disclosed that approximately 30% of the World Bank's annual portfolio for HNP loans, or about $800 million of 1996's $2.4 billion in new HNP lending, was devoted to population initiatives.

Feacham stressed that the World Bank's population programs conform with the commitments of the 1994 International Conference on Population and Development in Cairo. He said the World Bank has adopted "an overall mandate in reducing fertility rates" as part of its commitment to "alleviate poverty" in developing countries. Feachem released World Bank documents which explicitly endorse the Bank's support for "universal access to a full range of...family planning methods," and "reproductive health services." The documents also detail the Bank's co-operation in these areas with other international agencies under the leadership of the UN Population Fund (UNFPA). By UN definition, both family planning and reproductive health services include access to abortion and contraceptives.

Feacham's briefing also disclosed that along with giving hundreds of millions of dollars to population control, the Bank is providing grants to "population NGOs" to further assist the promotion of contraceptive- and abortion-based anti-fertility programs.

Present in the audience was UN Development Program (UNDP) Policy Director Anders Wijkman who expressed concern that not enough was being done to implement the Cairo commitments. Feacham replied, "I think Cairo was dead right, but making it work is proving quite difficult." The briefing highlighted both the massive scope of current World Bank backing for population control -- compared to virtually non-existent funding less than a decade ago --and the increasing integration of World Bank lending policies with the social agendas advanced by international agencies like the UNDP and the UNFPA.

MASSIVE COERCIVE STERILIZATION IN PERU DONE UNDER UNITED NATIONS SUPERVISION

Media Omits United Nations Involvement

CUSCO, Peru, July 24, 2002

(LSN.ca) - The BBC and UPI (United Press International) report today on a Peruvian Congressional commission report which has found evidence that perhaps as many as 200,000 women were forcibly sterilized in the 1990s under former dictator Alberto Fujimori. However, the media coverage fails to mention that the commission's report indicates that the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) was established as the "Technical Secretary" of the forced sterilization campaigns.

A detailed report on the commission's findings by the Population Research Institute (PRI) quotes the report as it says Fujimori's coercive population control campaigns "presupposed an inverse relationship between population growth and economic growth. Based on this mistaken presupposition, [Fujimori's] National Population Program established demographic strategies and methods explicitly restrictive and controlling; in this line, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), known for its support of population control in developing countries, took charge. For that end, the United Nations Population Fund act[ed] as Technical Secretary, working in coordination with the National Population Council."

The coercive sterilization campaigns "executed by the Peruvian government [under Fujimori] were induced and financed by international organizations, especially. the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)," states the report. The UNFPA, along with other international groups, "brought not only special financing but also demographic goals, for the focalized reduction of the Peruvian population and the fecundity of Peruvian women, especially the women of rural areas."

PRI's own investigations into UNFPA-supported forced sterilization campaigns in Peru in 1998, then again in 1999 had victims of forced sterilization testify that women in Peru were routinely treated like animals by family planning cadres, called "beasts" and "dogs" and forcibly sterilized. PRI contends that the Peruvian report confirms the U.S. made the right decision in defunding the UNFPA since the U.S. is forbidden by law from supporting organizations which support coercive abortion and/or sterilization.

I didn't either. But then I have often wondered how Catholics could vote for pro-abortion candidates too!

IMO this was a bad move.

Kissinger will lend absolutely zero credibility to any investigation. It might even be fair to say that his involvement will create more problems and conspiracy type issues than it would solve. I can hear it now: What? One of the build-a-burgers wasn't available so "they" tapped Henry? This is a huge mistake, but it should play well on the History Channel.

Sinkspur to Polycarp:

Where's the "blood of millions"? I don't see it.

I also don't understand what any of this has to do with investigating 9/11.

Power2's response:

"Just because Joseph Goebles (sp?) had a hand in defending or formulating Hitlers policies doesn't make him unfit to head the department of agriculture in the "new" Germany".

Get my drift?"

Nopardons responded:

No. How does Kissinger (a Jew) compare to Goebbels? "Kissinger as Nazi" is the dumbest thing I've heard yet. You guys are getting so far out on that limb, it's going to break on its own.

, I never called Kissinger a Nazi; to say that is a disingenous ploy. And it proves you didn't get my "drift".

The point in my statement was that a view of population control, seemingly espoused by Kissinger (as indicated by the documents posted in this thread my Polycarp and others) isn't all that much different than the views taken by the leadership of the nazis as far as controlling the world through population control (a view also espoused by the Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood and a nazi sympathizer).

I don't care if that view is espoused by Jews, Americans, Britains, or Iraqies (sp?). The view is wrong, it is evil, and those who contribute to its premise in ANY WAY should be excluded from holding any office, even if that office doesn't seemingly impact the issue at hand (i.e, abortion versus 9/11 investigation).

Please note that I am NOT saying anyone who is so called PRO-CHOICE should be excluded from appointed office, when such appointments can in no way contribute to the destruction of life. However, the writings of Kissinger (as shown in this thread) show that his view go beyond a "Pro-Choice" viewpoint, and extend into what seems to be a "Pro-Population Control" viewpoint.

Nopardons Response:

Your " drift " is absurd ,spurious, and out of place here. Got that ?

If I go to the bank and I don't like their terms I don't take out the loan.  Problem solved.  If we are paying we have a right to set the terms, just the same as the bank does.

Am getting sick of tired of some pro-lifers determining who is and who is not a conservative

You must have missed the election of board members who will determine who is a conservative and who is not. Please refer to page 54,345 of, "The Rules of Being a "Good" Conservative", for more details. ;-)

We're trying to get Canon Law changed so they they are automatically kicked out.

As it stands now, only those paying for, performing, assisting at, otherwise directly participating in, or obtaining an abortion are automatically excommunicated.

We're hoping for a private audience with the Pope within the next 6 months to present him with this plea to change canon law. We already have several of the USA's conservative, well known canon lawyers backing this effort.

THE SILENCE OF THE SHEPHERDS

"Then, on Dec. 7, 1995, the U.S. Senate voted (54-44) to ban partial-birth abortions. At least eight “Catholic” senators voted against the ban and, thus, in favor of partial-birth abortions. They were: Sen. Thomas Daschle (D-SD), now Senate Majority Leader http://www.christiangallery.com/silenceofshepherds.htm

Shame on these individuals; they are not true Catholics. As the saying go in this forum, they are CINO's. I don't understand why the Catholic Church heirarchy does not excommunicate these individuals who voted for Partial Birth Abortion, or any other vote related to the promotion of abortion.
