Clap and see how it reacts. If it doesn't retreat but instead comes even closer, by all means stay vigilant. It can be intoxicated and attack," Kolberg told newspaper Faedrelandsvennen.

Well. That's what I call good moose advise. Yes, indeed. Stay vigilant out there boys and girls.

You've obviously never heard of the magnificent Norwegian Blue Parrot. Beautiful plumage. And if you think they're dead, they're usaully just resting.

Them Moose Goosers by Mason Williams

How about Them Moose Goosers,
Ain't they recluse?
Up in them boondocks,
Goosin' them moose.

Goosin' them huge moose,
Goosin' them tiny,
Goosin' them meadow-moose
In they hiney.

Look at Them Moose Goosers,
Ain't they dumb?
Some use an umbrella,
Some use a thumb.

Them obtuse Moose Goosers,
Sneakin' through the woods,
Pokin' them snoozy moose
In they goods.

How to be a Moose Gooser?
It'll turn ye puce.
Gitchy gooser loose and
Rouse a drowsy moose!

A moose doesn't need to be drunk to attack. More people are injured in AK by moose than by bears. A better solution than clapping to see if the moose is aggressive would be to shoot it (make sure your gun is big enough though!); they are great eating! I'd take it over beef any day!

Let me see if I have this right...........

(1) A moose once bit your drunken sister.

(2)You're a 'socal_parrot'.

(3)And, I've never heard of the magnificent Norwegian Blue Parrot.

(4)And, if you think they're dead, they're usually just resting.

O.K.....think I got it........Your sister is a Norwegian Blue Parrot, who got drunk and passed out. A moose came along, thinking she was dead, and bit her.

I think she must be your half-sister, though. You're a socal and she's a Norwegian Blue.

(I think I ate a little too much turkey yesterday and am now feeling silly.)

Have a nice weekend.

With Regards......jmax

Down by the swimming pool we have a grove of persimmons. Every autumn they ripen, then they over-ripen and then our Springer spaniels eat them and get positively looped. They [and I] discovered this when we first moved in and, sitting on the front porch the bitch staggered up the steps, veered over to me and all four legs went out from under her and she hiccuped a fermented alcoholic belch in my concerned face.Yuk.

Moose in Norway? The Language must be changing, when I was young they weren't admitting to HAVE moose over there, just Elk. It was useless to try to explain to them the difference between the two.
