An Arizona man who received a "strange and mysterious" e-mail apologizing for the slaying of a Red Bluff cop launched investigators on the trail of an ex-Army private who was arrested four days later in New Hampshire.

Neil Wright, 50, said he had received an e-mail from "Mitch Stephens" at americanresistance@yahoo.com at about 6 p.m. Friday on his home computer in Lake Havasu City and called police an hour later.

I have no problem with your NOT releasing the full email addresses of the dozen other recipients of the email. Based on my 'scientific sampling of one' of the other recipients, I'd say they were anti-american journalists that 'Mitch Stephens' felt fairly confident would not rat out their source. [you sure showed him!] Lucky for us he typo'ed one recipient and it went to you by mistake!.

I didn't realize at the time we had a wealth of online hate speech by Mitch Stevens, and Terry W. Strough and the American Resistance Movement.

Police should have no problem checking historically who was paying in 1998 for the Georgia

If it turns out it WAS the Womack residence, then there might be a teenage son who left Marietta in 1998 or '99.

So sorry for the great loss to your family. Coming from a law enforcement family, I have a lot of understanding and sympathy. We have also lost a very good friend who was shot in the head. While he lived for a few years after, he was never the same and eventually lost his battle with life. It's very sad, even today. Two other dear friends/partners of my husband A giant BUMP for what Neil did here!!!
