[history]
An Arizona man who received a "strange and mysterious" e-mail apologizing for the slaying of a Red Bluff cop launched investigators on the trail of an ex-Army private who was arrested four days later in New Hampshire.
Neil Wright, 50, said he had received an e-mail from "Mitch Stephens" at americanresistance@yahoo.com at about 6 p.m. Friday on his home computer in Lake Havasu City and called police an hour later.

Check that out. Very interesting, Neil has the Red Bluff P.D. checking out some of the info that was generated from his thread. This also could be important to them, I'm sure Neil will direct them to what you just posted.

Why life without parole? Beats the stuffing out of me, Terridan.
Unless they're waiting to bring the *capital* murder charges until the extradition fron NH is complete. Just to streamline the process and make sure no liberal attorneys throw a monkey-wrench into the works.
Here in NY, they have something like 90 days to decide if they want to seek the death penalty or not, in a murder case.

"Wright, a right-wing activist who writes for the conservative Web site freerepublic.com, said he had no idea what crime the sender was referring to when he received the message -- but felt compelled to check it out. "
A right-wing activist? How about a wholesome Conservative American?
Way to go Mr Wright!!

More than 20 versions of the declaration -- some with an apology, some with a bragging confession -- were posted on a series left-wing "alternative news" sites from Hawaii to Maine and Georgia under the umbrella indymedia.org. This IS getting series!

A right-wing activist? How about a wholesome Conservative American? What does it take to get labelled "right-wing" by the San Francisco Chronicle?
Voting Republican?

Typical media. The reporter got my quotes WRONG!!!! :)
I said BIZARRE not "strange and mysterious".
Any small assistance I might have been in helping to solve this case was my honor.

Neil, congratulations again!
This is so predictable from any liberal newspaper: Wright, a right-wing activist who writes for the conservative Web site freerepublic.com.
Actually that was a compliment. So many of us are called Vile Right Wing Extremists.
To be called an activist by a lefty is really a compliment.
To: Neil E. Wright; jdontom
Awesome detective work, Neil! You are a credit to the name "FReeper."
Thanks for posting this, jdontom!
Happy Thanksgiving!
