Before heading to Crawford, Texas for the holiday, President Bush signed the 911-commission bill, which will allow an investigation into the 911 attacks, and help identify ways to avoid future attacks. Bush appointed Henry Kissinger commission chairman. The President joined First Lady Laura and their two daughters in Texas this evening. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Oh piff!
When RBA shaved him, his nose looked like a rat terrier.
I love ratties, better than Jacks. Incredible smart and energetic dogs. But nothing beats my woofie!

And yes, OhioWfan, just the thought of our 'first couple' reuniting tonight at the ranch puts a smile on my face! We happily married, hopelessly romantic 'folk' seem to think (and behave) alike, don't we?!They're probably fast asleep, wrapped in each other's arms by now, Deb, and we hopelessly romantic, really married folk should follow their example!
......and ain't it fun to imagine how they 'behave'?! hehe

Thanks for the great pictures, Rintense! As always, I sure love what you do each day.

To Luis Gonzalez: As a born in America American here's a hearty THANK YOU for your post. I was fortunate enough to marry a man who escaped Castro's Cuba. From my husband I truly learned the beauty of America - our freedom. And you reaffirm it. Thank you for your beautiful posts, which I hope Freepers here will hold to their hearts. And yes, as a man born in Cuba who is now more American than many Americans, my husband loves the American Cowboy!

Okay, I must admit that Barney is
really growing on me! I've always been so partial to Spotty but Barney is really, really, cute!
W looks great and happy to be home for Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. The Dose is the best place on the web and Dosers are the best. Everyone be safe and take good care and eat well!

I didn't want to make you feel sad, I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you and your families contributions to this great country. I'm the second youngest of eight children who was in junior high school as my older brother and cousin (who lived in our house, and I considered my brother) faught in Vietnam. I will never forget Holloween Day 1968 when a U.S. Navy vehicle pulled up in front of our house and two impecably dressed officers got out of the car to give us the news that my cousin had been severely injured after stepping on a land mine in Vietnam.
I have a daughter whose husband served in the Marines during the Gulf War and I can not imagine what it must be like to have a child serving in our armed services today. I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers. You are a great American OWF, I mean it!

Thank you so much for the THANKSGIVING MESSAGE. We as a people of a free nation do have soooo much to thank Jesus Christ our Lord for. He has blessed us with Godly leaders to lead us at this time. He is truly a God with so much grace to spread.
Rintense you have done such a great service here on freerepublic. You and those that help you have a wonderful spirit and enthusiasum and God Bless you for sharing it with others of like mind.
Jim thanks for being such a great American and starting this whole dang thing. My marriage has suffered at times because of it, but hey, he finally is beginning to understand. You and your crew are awesome.
And to the friends I have made here I am sooo thankful. I know I don't post or reply on a regular basis but I do lurk everynight and I have come to know so many. My schedule just doesn't permit me to reply that often. But there are soo many wonderful people that gather here everynight and I am just glad that we are all able to do this, to share the Presidents day and respond to each other about it. I look forward to this thread everynight. All in all, WHAT A WAY TO END A DAY!!!!!!!! Thanks all and have a God-filled and Happy Thanksgiving.

I have a Rat Terrier too.
"Romeo" has the brown eye markings that I often see, yes, otherwise a little like the RCA dog. 2 years old and only 11 pounds. Breeder was trying to get them to be small version, but sturdy.
Is there really a difference between them and the smooth Fox Terrier?

I loved the RNC Thanksgiving Link. I sent it to my sister in Louisiana with a Happy Thanksgiving message and a reminder to vote in her senate race.
