The author of The Threatening Storm is Kenneth M. Pollack and you can likely check it out at the library. It's a Council on Foreign Relations Book. The author was featured on Oprah of all places, and it changed the minds of even the soccer moms regarding the need to invade Iraq. It's not a difficult read at all, is fact filled with CIA declassified information and editorials have been written by liberals who have changed their mind about Iraq after reading the book.

The author is one of the world's leading experts on Iraq, worked for the CIA and National Security Council for 15 years, and has studied Saddam closer than anyone else in the US. He was one of only 3 CIA analysts who predicted Saddam would invade Kuwait, and currently the Joint Chiefs of Staff consult with him. It's the best book I've read in many years and highly recommended.
