Kissinger is a phenomenal choice for a number of reasons.

1. Kissinger is a known commodity and will not be a loose cannon with the news media.

2. Kissinger enjoys unimpeachable integrity with the American people from across the ideological spectrum.

3. The appointment furthers Bush's stature as the unquestioned leader in global foreign policy for the free world.

4. Finally, it puts the RATS in a box. When shortfalls of the 1990s are addressed, are the RATS going to dump on Kissinger? I think not, because it won't sell with the American people.

Bravo, yet again, Mr. President.

I agree wholeheartedly with your accessment.
I applauded when I saw this becase the rats, once again, have been flumoxed.

I especially enjoyed the "every detail" part and "no matter where it leads"

Well folks, this could go one of two ways. He'll either whitewash, or drop the bomb on the Clintons.

I sincerely hope it's the latter.

I imagine the libs will find something to complain about and just sound foolish. It's probably good to have someone from a previous administration, when security was taken seriously (so it would have to be pre-Clinton) who can bring the perspective of what has changed and had a negative impact.

What I'm impressed with is that it shows me that GWB is in charge. He decided when the investigation would go forward, and what the makeup of the commission would be.

I'm not a globalist, though, and I suspect that this commission will not be one that comes out with initiatives that are what I would like to see with regard to the borders and immigration restraints.
