Guiliani or even Ken Starr would have been better; a little prosecutorial and investigative experience.
Can you spell whitewash and stonewall?

Get to the Saudi problem, Mr. President....you don't need Henry Kissinger to tell you it was them.

I was hoping that I would never have to hear this man speak again. I never did and never will trust him.

"Dr. Kissinger will bring broad experience, clear thinking and careful judgment to this important task," Bush said at a signing ceremony in the Roosevelt Room of the White House. "Mr. Secretary, thank you for returning to the service of your nation." Yeah..."either real or promulgated"

In the last ten years we've had hearings on:
Whitewater
The RTC (Jean Lewis) issue (I believe this was separate)
Vince Foster's death
Chinese Cash Funneled to Clinton
Waco
We've had investigations into:
Whitewater
Foster's Death (3)
Lewinsky, Tripp, Richardson, Vernan Jordan
Waco
Can anyone tell me the overall outcome of these investigations. I can in one sentence.
"Although there are indications that some mistakes did take place, there is no evidence of widespread wrongdoing."
Translation: Nothing happened...
Did anyone think this investigation into 09/11 failures in security was going to develop any serious allegations? It's another sham to pacify the sheeple.
Nothing happening here folks... move along, move along...

The Warren Rudman/Gary Hart Anti-Terror Commission that has put out two reports over the past two years would also have been very good. Hope those two are on the commission.
To be fair to Kissinger, he's a resident of Manhattan or works there so he was as close to the Attacks and the subsequent tragedies as you can get.
To: Brandon
The commission will be able to subpoena any witness to testify When Clinton is called to testify as to why he did nothing to stop the terrorist attacks before 9/11, I hope he doesn't try that "IS" is crap again. I don't think America will fall for that one this time.
Better check Bin Ladins cloak for Clinton DNA, just in case.
To: Brandon
It's a good choice, and someone with actual stature, not another Warren Rudman or John Danforth.Kissinger has a very sharp mind and will ask the right questions.

More bad news for the Democrats. (You could almost feel sorry for the poor slobs.)

Read the book, "Reagan's War" which has substantial information from KGB files. Kissinger was a subversive the first time around. We don't need more of him.

Well, Kissinger was a terrorist. Guess it takes one to catch one.

Maybe it won't be a whitewash. One thing for sure though -no one will be hurt as a result of this commission's work. In fact, if I were some obscure object of this investigation I'd be salivating at the possibility of being exposed, dreaming of notoriety and the book and Hollywood deals that surely follow it in this country! Whatta opportunity! Too cynical? Just watch!
