Great things have been brought forth by nations of The West for the betterment of mankind specifically the USA. Penicilin and other medical and health advances that have been shared with the world. The eradication of childhood diseases was brought about by scientists working in The West for a profit!! Capitalism and Freedom and Liberty to keep the fruits of your efforts and better your life motivates such advances. Inventions that relieve drudgery that take so much time hence freeing the mind to make other advances. What has any Arab nation, socialist nation, or Communist nation ever contributed to the betterment of mankind? This is not a rhetorical question, I would really like to know. What has ever come from any Arab nation besides the youth that they teach to envy, hate and kill? Don't say oil, if not for The West developing the uses for oil, it would still be in the ground. Yes, I am Grateful to be an American, God bless people like Ted Nugent who know it's not enough just to have the Right to Free Speech, they use it.

There are untold tens of thousands of honest people with high moral and ethical standards at the helm of American businesses... These leaders rarely make the news for doing what is best for their companies, but they are out there nonetheless trying to find innovative ways to expand existing markets and open up new business channels so their companies will be profitable, stockholders will make money, and millions of Americans will have good jobs for years to come. Capitalism is the fuel that propels this experiment in self-government forward. Be thankful for those ethical, dedicated people who steer American businesses. Boy, oh, boy. Does that ever need to be said. A lot. I wish someone on the evening blues would stand up and say it. Maybe an email to Cavuto or Maria Bartiromo?
I know I'm going to email it around.

LOL -- pretty coherent for a guy who once proclaimed that he could 'jam until my sex changes in mid-air.'
Well, he has toned his language down a little in the past 30 years...
I've had two predominant heroes in rock & roll: Ted & Frank Zappa. They couldn't be more opposed, politically, but both are/were outspoken and candid, and unafraid of criticism of their respective positions. And mighty entertaining to listen to, both on the stage and in the mic.
Godspeed, Ted. You've got your head screwed-on straight.

George Carlin wrote this. Not Ted.

Just got done reading the print edition. Great piece. Ted is quite the enigma. I saw him back in the late 70's in Detroit (Cobo Hall). He was preaching to the crowd not to do drugs (picture Detroit, Cobo Hall, in the late 70s). Someone in the crowd was getting too rowdy on the floor in front of him while he was he was delivering his message, so he jumped off the stage and pummeled the guy (fight fire with fire I guess). Anyhow, it was a GREAT concert!
