As opposed to when it's looking for sex? Those are pretty much the only two things deer, the bucks at least, do. Not much different than some people one could name when you think about it.

I agree with your sentiment but, fact is, in most of the U.S. the deer population is so out of control that they've wiped out nearly all the vegetation they depend on for food, and as a result are virtually ALWAYS looking for food.

Thats how you hunt doofus. Whats the difference in that and sitting over an oak dropping acorns or a corn field. I suppose a real man would hunt deer only during a full moon, wearing a loin cloth sitting by the sacred creek with his spear in hand huh?
