LONDON (Reuters) - Britons have sex more often than Americans and Spaniards, but are outdone between the sheets by the French, Dutch, Danes and Canadians, a survey by condom manufacturer Durex found Monday.
The Durex Global Sex survey revealed that Britons make love an average of 149 times a year, pipped only by couples in France (167), the Netherlands (158), Denmark (152) and Canada (150).
Those taking their love-making at a more relaxed pace included Americans (138 times a year), New Zealanders, (135) and the Spanish, who limped in at an annual love rate of just 121.
Some 3,500 people from the UK took part in an online survey organized by Durex which polled 50,000 people worldwide.
Almost four in 10 of UK respondents admitted they had had unprotected sex with a new partner in the last 12 months, despite more than two-thirds believing AIDS (news - web sites) is a serious problem in Britain.
The young are putting themselves most at risk of sexual infection, with 46 percent of UK respondents aged 18-20 saying they had had sex without a condom with a new partner in the last year.
Durex said it would release full details of the global survey Tuesday.

Single American women are mostly a turnoff, these days. Too much sheer "bitchiness."
European women rule.

I keep getting emails about Russian women. It sounds too good to be true. I agree about what you say about American Women, they are spoiled rotten (there are exceptions but we are talking overall).

When asked in the survey, the British stated their preference to re-usable condoms That is gross! Barf!

Hi Ivan -
I am a fan of your posts so hope you won't be offended when I point out that "no sex please, we're British" is just a silly joke.
Actually the Irish have a worse reputation in bed than the Brits!
For example, I once bought an Irish friend of mine a book that called itself an Irish sex manual -- all the pages were blank!
The joke about Americans is that the men don't take long.
OK, here is Irish foreplay -- "Brace yourself, Bridget!"
Here is Texan foreplay -- "This won't hurt, did it?"
Jewish foreplay -- two hours of begging and pleading.
Don't know British foreplay but I do know what British women ask their men after sex -- "Feeling better?"
While American women ask their partners after sex -- "What did you say your name was?"
Just silly jokes.

Yes all the money they dont spend on soap and shampoo they can use on condoms. LOL!

You must admit that the United States has been well ahead of the curve on most ladies issues. We gave them the ability to vote, we held them to a higher standard, and gave them the right to say "no" not tonight, I have a headace, we will wake the children, it's my time of the month, not tonight, you just got home from fishing smell like fish, while knowing full well that she smells like fish every day and that she knows we "love" the smell of fish.
I am going to do a search, to check out your laws to see if I could come to G.B.
Do not know if you'all will let a Tall Texan there, but only if I should stay for a short time and get it on your national average, it would be well worth the airfare.
Would also improve the altitude challenged blood line there.
Thanks for posting the thread. But I am series.

Great, the "all Englishmen are poofters" crowd rears its ugly head. He didn't say that you were all poofters, just 70-80%.

European women rule.
Which explains the socialism/communism running rampant in Europe. America was better off when women didn't vote. OOPS! PC ALERT

Throw it in with the laundry!
Or ever worse, rinse it out and put it back on your nightstand for later. BARF!
Have to wonder how this thing would work?

Did they ask the brits if they were alone or with someone when all this sex took place?

"Did they include Clinton in the US survey? I think not."
No they didn't but I think they were talking about sex with other willing partners.... not rapes or sex with anything that moves.

involving smashing the opponent in the face till their teeth are knocked out Picking a fight may be more effective than waiting for National Health Service to let you see a dentist.

Did they include Clinton in the US survey? I think not. If they included Clinton, it would actually explain the low numbers -- all sorts of things that most people think constitute "sex" don't fall within his definition of that term. For instance, by his definition it's possible for her to have sex with him without him having sex with her, thus halving the statistics right there.
