The huge difference between Viet Nam and this coming war is that we will do our utmost to win this one.
One wonders why Ellsberg thinks the Muslims will discontinue their attacks if we do nothing now.

Ellsberg calls the Iraq war authorization "Tonkin Gulf II," adding: "I've studied this government's decision-making for 44 years. I don't know these specific individuals but I know some of their advisors. I understand that thinking. Yeah, we understand yours too, Danny-boy - still stuck in the 60's calling all wars "Vietnam Wars".
Ellsberg reminds me of Grandpa Simpson at Bart's birthday party, ranting and raving "That Krusty clown doll is evillll, I tells ya....EVUUUULLLL!!" To which Marge replies, "Grandpa, you said that about all the gifts." "I know," he says, "I just need some attention."

How on earth is it possible, in this day and age, for anyone to win this one? This is not Ronald Reagan's Cowboys and Indians war -- it's no longer that simple, we are become a "one world DISorder".

We've been at war with Islam since Somalia. We've just been unwilling to admit it openly. The only long term solution to Islamic terror is to destroy the dictatorial regimes which harbor and finance its murderous barbarians and replace them with republics that strictly enforce the separation of church and state.
