'Anyone who tries to destroy our villages and cities, then we are going to destroy their villages and cities. Anyone who steals our fortunes, then we must destroy their economy. Anyone who kills our civilians, then we are going to kill their civilians.'

This rant reminds me of a skit I once read in one of the "Monty Python" books. The exact details of the skit escape me but it was a satire on violence and those who perpetrate it. It went like this;

The best form of defence is attack. And the most vital element of attack is surprise. So attack your opponent before he attacks you. Even better. You can render your assailant unconscious before he is even aware of your very existence."

This seems to be bin Laden's mantra. His unbridled aggression and hatred is now being cloaked in the mantra of "self-defence."

"We're just defending ourselves."

"Against whom?"

" Well anyone who's not Islamic."

" But they haven't done anything to you."

" Well they will. Or they might. So let's kill them all first."

Using this kind of logic, it's not hard to see that any form of barbarity can be justified.

Can someone give a good reason why Britain and the U.S. don't expell these radical groups from our countries when they openly advocate violence against our governments, institutions, economies, populations? It makes no sense to me to allow these groups to remain here and work up their members into hate-filled lunatics eager to destroy us and our freedom-loving values.

Nice post, Ivan. Why are you going so soft on him, though?

Just so he gets the point, I'll add an American perspective on the future - call it the ghost of Christmas Future for OBL:

Osama:

Should your cultists manage to pull of another attack - rumored to be more spectacular than 9/11 - you will have managed to singlehandedly destroy the religion that you claim to hold so dear. (More on that in a minute.)

We all know that your "cause" has nothing to do with religion, or anything to do with the "suffering" of the Islamic people. It only has to do with one thing: Osama's ego and desire for power.

That makes you less of a human than even Bill Clinton - who most of us find to be the most disgusting bag of sh!t to ever call himself a human. In your case, however, having killed or ordered the killing of scores of innocent people just to quench your thirst for something as intangible as what you think of as power is beyond vile. You are nothing more than an impetulant child - a rich kid who didn't get all of his toys and now the world must pay. It's not our fault you're as ugly as you are stupid. How many must die due to your tantrums?

I'll tell you how many. First of all, should you in fact kill any more of us in your power quest, we will drop our current policy of direct engagement of your forces. The American public will merely begin the summary execution of all Muslims within our borders, and as many as we can get to in Canada and Mexico. As you know, our military is stationed in over 100 nations of the globe, and they will begin enforcing a "scorched earth" method of combat. Throughout the middle east, Asia, central and south America, and of course Africa, our troops will kill every single Muslim that they encounter - every man, woman, and child. There will be contests and awards given for body counts. We will completely depopulate these areas without using a single nuclear weapon. Your people will make excellent track grease for our tanks. We will be joined by the Russians, India, and probably even China once that they see that they cannot count on you to do their dirty work for them.

Yes, even China - your paymaster/puppetmaster - will turn on you like the rabid dogs you have become. If they don't, then the US and Russia will see that they are indeed behind all of your crap and it will be over for them as well.

So far, we're over 2 billion and counting. There aren't enough "virgins" for all of those martyrs, camelhumper. And most of them will be searching you out in Hell to get some revenge for sending them on a fool's errand.

Enjoy your eternity in Hell - it should be interesting for you indeed.

Nice post, Ivan. Why are you going so soft on him, though?

Because there are ladies present, and what I really think, I wouldn't want to say in front of them. ;)

It does bear some similarity to this:

How yet resolves the governor of the town?
This is the latest parle we will admit;
Therefore to our best mercy give yourselves;
Or like to men proud of destruction
Defy us to our worst: for, as I am a soldier,
A name that in my thoughts becomes me best,
If I begin the battery once again,
I will not leave the half-achieved Harfleur
Till in her ashes she lie buried.

The gates of mercy shall be all shut up,
And the flesh'd soldier, rough and hard of heart,
In liberty of bloody hand shall range
With conscience wide as hell, mowing like grass
Your fresh-fair virgins and your flowering infants.
What is it then to me, if impious war,
Array'd in flames like to the prince of fiends,
Do, with his smirch'd complexion, all fell feats
Enlink'd to waste and desolation?
What is't to me, when you yourselves are cause,
If your pure maidens fall into the hand
Of hot and forcing violation?
What rein can hold licentious wickedness
When down the hill he holds his fierce career?
We may as bootless spend our vain command
Upon the enraged soldiers in their spoil
As send precepts to the leviathan
To come ashore. Therefore, you men of Harfleur,
Take pity of your town and of your people,
Whiles yet my soldiers are in my command;
Whiles yet the cool and temperate wind of grace
O'erblows the filthy and contagious clouds
Of heady murder, spoil and villany.
If not, why, in a moment look to see
The blind and bloody soldier with foul hand
Defile the locks of your shrill-shrieking daughters;
Your fathers taken by the silver beards,
And their most reverend heads dash'd to the walls,
Your naked infants spitted upon pikes,
Whiles the mad mothers with their howls confused
Do break the clouds, as did the wives of Jewry
At Herod's bloody-hunting slaughtermen.
What say you? will you yield, and this avoid,
Or, guilty in defence, be thus destroy'd?

Regards, Ivan

Also this:

We are glad the Dauphin is so pleasant with us;
His present and your pains we thank you for:
When we have march'd our rackets to these balls,
We will, in France, by God's grace, play a set
Shall strike his father's crown into the hazard.
Tell him he hath made a match with such a wrangler
That all the courts of France will be disturb'd
With chases.
And we understand him well,
How he comes o'er us with our wilder days,
Not measuring what use we made of them.
We never valued this poor seat of England;
And therefore, living hence, did give ourself
To barbarous licence; as 'tis ever common
That men are merriest when they are from home.
But tell the Dauphin I will keep my state,
Be like a king and show my sail of greatness
When I do rouse me in my throne of France:
For that I have laid by my majesty
And plodded like a man for working-days,
But I will rise there with so full a glory
That I will dazzle all the eyes of France,
Yea, strike the Dauphin blind to look on us.
And tell the pleasant prince this mock of his
Hath turn'd his balls to gun-stones; and his soul
Shall stand sore charged for the wasteful vengeance
That shall fly with them: for many a thousand widows
Shall this his mock, mock out of their dear husbands;
Mock mothers from their sons, mock castles down;
And some are yet ungotten and unborn
That shall have cause to curse the Dauphin's scorn.
But this lies all within the will of God,
To whom I do appeal; and in whose name
Tell you the Dauphin I am coming on,
To venge me as I may and to put forth
My rightful hand in a well-hallow'd cause
. So get you hence in peace; and tell the Dauphin
His jest will savour but of shallow wit,
When thousands weep more than did laugh at it.

Convey them with safe conduct. Fare you well.

Regards, Ivan

This is a great thread! Excellent pic of Churchill too!

What say you? will you yield, and this avoid, Or, guilty in defence, be thus destroy'd?

The only problem with this question is that it assumes that the one being asked is a human being. As you stated in your "open letter to bin dyin".......he is an IDIOT with camel fertilizer between his ears. And Saddamned is just like him. These "humans" lost their souls long ago.

Whatever did we do to them?

We didn't do anything to them. They're in the thrall of a death cult. They have no civilization, no culture, no aspirations beyond death. They're rotting from the inside and trying to take us with them.

We couldn't reason with Japanese kamakazi pilots and we won't reason with Islamists. They've sunk too low. I hope the West is willing to use the level of force-- shock -- necessary to bring them up to a respect for life.

"Can someone give a good reason why Britain and the U.S. don't expell these radical groups from our countries when they openly advocate violence against our governments, institutions, economies, populations? "

Good question. It would seem that if an organized group of "ultra right-wing" types announced their intention to overthrow our civilization via attacks against our people, economy, etc., they would be rounded-up and arrested (rightfully so). Why the hell are western governments tip toeing around these middle eastern animals? My prediction is that if our government (US) doesn't have the cajones to deal with this problem at home, an angry citizenry will have to do the job...and it won't be graceful.

For the Religion Of Peace, no past grievance is apparently too remote or too insignificant not to be used as a justification to wage a jihad to bring the West to its knees.

Muslims don't need grievances to justify killing non believers. Just follow the religion to the letter and do what Allah wants done.

Muslims are not here on this earth to make nice with infidels. They are here to do the work of God. - Tom

Osama's rantings and ravings don't frighten us, but it does show how utterly important it is to find and destroy him (and Omar, and all the others we haven't gotten yet) just because of the effects his lunatic ravings have on his followers around the world. For months we've heard the Bush administration tell us on cable news that it isn't important if we get Osama, he's just one man. Well that is total poppycock, as this latest diatribe reveals. One MUST destroy one's enemy completely and totally and that includes their top leaders who spur them on to more violence. I hope the Bush administration takes this latest missive from Osama as a cue to keep the presssure on Pakistan to let the US military into those areas controlled by these militants. The bombing campaigns should be allowed to continue in those areas of Pakistan where he is suspected to be hiding. The locals can be urged to leave if they want to minimize civilian casualties for PR purposes. But since Pakistan won't let us in there, there is no other conclusion to make but that they are deliberately sheltering Osama bin Laden.

"We shall fight on the beaches. We shall fight on the landing grounds. We shall fight in the fields,
and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills. We shall never surrender!" - Winston Churchill, June

With what? Since you gave up your guns will you meet the enemy with those "traditional" peasant weapons, the garden hoe, the hay rake and the pitch fork?

I expect to soon hear reports from "unnamed sources" in "intelligence" stating "off the record" that these writings are undoubtedly from Osama and is proof that he is still alive.

Other “unnamed sources” speaking in “strict confidentiality” will then corroborate it.

And thus, it will become truth.

Our pal bin Laden has been reading a bit too much Noam Chomsky. Same style.

What did we do to him?

The more I look at it, the more I think he's been a secret Iraqi agent all this time. Why? Because everything he's done has been in support of Iraq's interests.

He was originally angry at the Saudis for inviting Americans into his country to defend against Iraq, instead of letting him do the defending. He had an elaborate and implausible plan to use earthmoving equipment and the mujheeden to create a defense against Iraq. I would have been very surprised if it would have worked against the Iraqis, which is why the Saudis chose us to defend their land. This setback appears to have really, really pissed him off.

That's the original sin. Everything else, including sympathy for the Palastinians, is window dressing.

Now he talks about the Iraqi sanctions. How convenient for Saddam.

So, to summarize, he advocated a defence plan that probably would not have worked against Iraq, and his big causes are Palastinians and the Iraqi sanctions. Everything he's done has supported Iraq in some way or another.

Incidentally, the Saudis know that low oil prices are in their best interests. If oil prices are high, we simply reduce our use of oil. So if bin Laden should be mad at one entity for low oil prices, it's the Saudis.

I am frankly puzzled by his actions, since I don't think he would have had that much trouble taking over the Saudi government and re-making it in his own image (which isn't that different from where it is now, except he would be in power instead of them).

But he chose to attack the US instead, and that's not going to fly. By now, I would have thought he'd know this.

Damn, that'll teach us to buy their oil! Can anybody name any other business where the buyer is the bad guy?

I think we were supposed to pay for the oil, then let them keep it.

What did we do to him?

Apparently, we
a)failed to accept Islam and Sharia law,
b)refused to allow Arabs to commit genocide against the Jews.
c)Bought oil from Arab countries at market prices
d) Charge interest on loans.
