Chechen Warlord Warns of Attacks on Russia

MOSCOW (Reuters) - The Chechen warlord who says he was behind last month's mass hostage-taking in Moscow warned on Saturday his group would launch new strikes in Russia if it did not pull its troops out of Chechnya (news - web sites).
Chechen rebel commander Shamil Basayev, Russia's public enemy number one, told NATO (news - web sites) leaders in an open letter that they should put pressure on Moscow to pull out of the Muslim North Caucasus territory and start peace negotiations.
"Chechen Mujahideen have a full right and possibilities to carry out strikes on the territory of the aggressor country, adequate to what the Russian military clique has been conducting and is still continuing to conduct on the territory of Chechnya," the English text of the letter said.
"We are also warning that all military, industrial and strategic facilities on the territory of Russia are legitimate military targets for us, whomever they may belong to," the statement, issued by the rebel Kavkaz Center, said.
"We also warn that the new generation is coming to take our place, the generation of orphans, whose fathers and mothers were killed on the orders by the Kremlin regime," it said.
The statement was signed by the Command of the Reconnaissance and Sabotage Battalion "Riyadus Salihin," the group that Basayev heads and whose units launched the attack on a theater in the south-east of Moscow late in October.
TRAUMATIC SIEGE
A total of 128 hostages and all 41 rebels were killed when Russian special forces stormed the theater after three days, ending a siege that traumatized Russia and shook President Vladimir Putin (news - web sites) who came to power vowing to crush the rebels.
Almost all the dead hostages were killed by a strong narcotic gas used by the security forces to knock out the rebels.
The bearded Basayev, a terror figure in Russia since his group took several hundred people hostage in a Budyennovsk hospital in southern Russia in 1995, claimed responsibility for the theater operation within days of it ending.
The Kremlin says Basayev's claim was partly intended to divert blame for the attack from fugitive rebel president Aslan Maskhadov with whom it refuses to hold peace talks.
Russian forces have been battling Chechen separatist rebels in the rebellious southern province on and off since 1994.
Putin has been only partially successful in winning western support for his contention that Russia's fight against Chechen separatism is on a par with the U.S.-led war against the Al Qaedr network behind the September 11, 2001, airliner attacks in the United States.
The guerrilla statement was heavy with reproach for NATO leaders and the West whom it accused of hypocritically defending the "barbaric aggression" of Russian forces in Chechnya.
It called on the leaders of NATO and other international bodies to exert pressure on Putin to cease military operations, pull Moscow's forces back to beyond 100 km (62 miles) of the Chechnya border and start peace negotiations with Maskhadov.

Every Chechen male since the days of Stalin vowing a holy oath to liberate Chechnya from Russian barbarism. Slavic hordes have attacked and attempted to subjugate landed free men in Chechnya for more than a century and a half. The madman Putin fools only himself if he believes Moscow can triumph in this unjust war.
There can never be humour in studying the agonizing deaths of the hundreds of thousands who have perished beneath the Russian genocidal fury. Yet the funny thing in the equation is that for the "experts" Russia appears to be the stronger entity -- but in reality is far weaker than the Chechen side. The third-rate Russian military is a formidable force against women and children but against veteran Eastern freedom fighters the flimsy structure is mauled each week with another two dozen dead and scores wounded.
Meanwhile Chechen freedom fighters, battling under the holy banner of Nationalism, grow stronger each month. The continued expansion of the rebel operational front into the heart of Russia is sound grand tactical doctrine for the side that has regained strategic momentum. With "Allah's Suitcase" successfully ensconced within the target perimeter, Shamil Basayev now holding all the cards...
And Putin knows this...
Thus Russia will surrender or die. The European Union tree huggers will force a Russian withdrawl and subsequently send international observer teams to Chechnya or they will become marginalised just like NATO. This the final EU opportunity to save their teetering house of cards.

Regardless, Shamil Basayev has made it as clear as humanly possible to Moscow that they must yield or be destroyed. Putin just another Russian thug sporting a cheap suit and bad haircut. Shamil Basayev, the proverbial one-legged man in the a** kicking contest, about to ruin Putin's week in a very big way...

Hey Fusion .....i normally enjoy your crazy rants, however i think you have been off your medication for too long (and i am shocked the Marines at Gitmo let you off the cell to use the computer)! After all if you think a cowardly murderer like that Chechnyan terrorist Shamil Basayev is the 'greatest fighter on Earth' then there might be something seriously wrong with you. And when i read you saying that because Baseyev has 'Allah's Suitcase' that means victory i start to wonder exactly where your allegiances are .....after all i know of one other personage who has been seeking 'Allah's Suitcase' and his initials are UBL!
Anyways let me just say i normally enjoy your little word plays! They are funny, and as i said before FR needs its local jesters to spice up the forum with comic relief!
However i sincerely hope that you are the only jester who thinks the way you do (that is outside the middle east and other cesspools of terrorism in the world).
And by the way the Russian army, which you say 'is mauled each week with another two dozen dead and scores wounded' is actually killing scores of Chechnyan terrorists! So many infact that the majority of Chechnyan fighting groups have fled into Georgia (and 3 weeks ago the Georgian government decided to kick them out after the Moscow bombing ...which shows that not only is Baseyev a murderer but he is also stupid since he is distancing his few allies). Also when the Chechnyan terrorists invaded the adjacent nation of Dagestan to convert it into an islamic state (after being paid cash by a Saudi source) the Russian army came and kicked their measely behinds all the way out of Dagestan! The Chechnyans were slaughtered!
And by the way every time Russia uses weapons like Pinnochio rockets and Fighter-bombers armed with thermobaric explosives the little Chechnyan cowards run screaming to the UN! However now that Baseyev has shown his true colors Putin has the opportunity to do as he wills with the Chechnyans, and this time the US and UN will not intervene! Actually if you check currently the only nation that is helping the Chechnyans is Denmark! In the 90s (before that stupid Baseyev proved he is nothing mroe than a cowardly terrorist) many nations supported the Chechnyans since they thought them to be freedom fighters! The US, UK, and other western nations, as well as adjacent states like Georgia supported Chechnya! However Baseyev has foolishly shown his true colors, and now all the Chechnyan allies (apart from Denmark) have gone! And in a couple of weeks Putin is going to play his hand, and Baseyev, together with several thousand Chechnyan terrorists, will be blown off the face of the earth .....and there will be no one to stop it since the rest of the world will look the other way!

The forces of freedom are indeed on the move ...however it is not Europe that trembles ....instead it is cowardly terrorists like UBL and Baseyev since the world is quickly heading to a point where terrorists will be exterminated on sight!
You know the Russians Fusion! Even though you normally act mad i believe you still have enough of your faculties to know that the Russians do not joke around and can be quite ruthless! What do you expect is going to happen once Putin is sure the US is not going to protest if he really decides to stomp out the Chechnyan terrorists? You know what .....Putin will not send conscripts into Chechnya and surrounding areas, but instead will utilize a stratagem that will leave multitudes of Chechnyans dead! (Actually a small nuclear explosion over the area can be easily attributed to a large meteorite exploding in the sky ....like what happened in Siberia decades ago! Easy solution, and with the US looking the other way .....)
And do you know what! The world will not care that the Chechnyans are dead! It will not even make the late edition of the next day's paper!
Oh and Baseyov has been hiding in Turkey for over a year, sending others to die while he lives the good life...very typical of this scum.
