I don't know where you live, but where I live, without the Hispanics (primarily Mexicans) we wouldn't have anyone to clean houses or office buildings, mow lawns, clean up construction sites, etc. And the farms wouldn't have seasonal workers.
Who do you propose for these jobs? Native born Americans won't take them.

I do think there should be a guest worker program so that the people who do this work are legally here, and tracked. But we do need these people.

I'm all for a guest worker program, but I don't want my tax dollars to support their illegal activities. If there is a guest worker program, we'd better get a shit load of money from Mexico to support THEIR citizens.

As for who would work these jobs, that is another problem altogether. I think many Americans have become so prideful that they think those jobs are beneath them. They'd rather have the government support them rather than work these jobs. My solution: partial welfare meaning those who are on welfare and unemployed will become that workforce. I's also like to see those in jail put to (supervised) work in the fields. In order to solve the problem of who'll work those jobs, the government has to get away from the welfare system.

Sorry, but I don't see this as true. There are PLENTY of American citizens who are more than happy to have houses to clean, lawns to mow, and be seasonal workers. The point is closer that people EMPLOYING them want to pay as little as possible with no benefits. This means that we ALL end up picking up the tab on health care, food stamps, and other living subsidies to ILLEGAL aliens. I just do NOT understand how anyone can condone this ILLEAGAL activity while it is not alright in general to violate the law.

What we are being told is that if you don't like the way the law is written ignore it, and it will be alright. BAD message. BAD idea.

So it's too much for you to clean your house or pay a legal citizen enough money to do it for you, therefore its a good idea to let the third world overrun us. It's cheap, lazy ba$tard$ like you that are leading us to ruin.

It doesnt matter where you live. If illegals are there they can take wages that are unacceptable to citizens who have to work legally and live within our society. Where there are not illegals all the jobs you mentioned are being done regardless.
