Of course Bush's buddy Garza is down there talking about an amnesty. Do we have a problem or what?

I don't know if we have a problem ---Bush does seem to have backed off his friendship with Fox. He might just be letting the gasbags have their say but will ignore them.

They believe they already possess much of the USA.

Yes, they do. They've been teaching that in their schools for decades. Now we have a problem. Citizens are being forced to try to stop the onslaught. I smell big, big trouble coming.

Well, I know that President Bush said that the long term startegy was to create a climate in Mexico where people can find jobs instead of coming here. But just how does Fox feel about that? Seems to me if he supported it, he would already be doing something about it.

He(Fox) has a PRI(the political party that has controlled Mexico for since 1915) congress. They wouldn't even let him leave Mexico.

JMO, but it looks like Mexico is going through a transition that America went through 30 years ago. Elect a "conservative"(Nixon, Fox), but still have Marxists run things in the legislative body.

Change takes time, although I am pessimistic that a Mexican Reagan will emerge to set things right at the present time.

The Mexicans have had a tougher row to hoe with their 80 years of rule under the PRI.

I'm all for a guest worker program, but I don't want my tax dollars to support their illegal activities. If there is a guest worker program, we'd better get a shit load of money from Mexico to support THEIR citizens.

As for who would work these jobs, that is another problem altogether. I think many Americans have become so prideful that they think those jobs are beneath them. They'd rather have the government support them rather than work these jobs. My solution: partial welfare meaning those who are on welfare and unemployed will become that workforce. I's also like to see those in jail put to (supervised) work in the fields. In order to solve the problem of who'll work those jobs, the government has to get away from the welfare system.

I, and many other Americans want those 'gasbags' and their invading hordes off our soil, and pronto.

Sorry, but I don't see this as true. There are PLENTY of American citizens who are more than happy to have houses to clean, lawns to mow, and be seasonal workers. The point is closer that people EMPLOYING them want to pay as little as possible with no benefits. This means that we ALL end up picking up the tab on health care, food stamps, and other living subsidies to ILLEGAL aliens. I just do NOT understand how anyone can condone this ILLEAGAL activity while it is not alright in general to violate the law.

What we are being told is that if you don't like the way the law is written ignore it, and it will be alright. BAD message. BAD idea.

I would bet this is true. Plus the Bush Whitehouse fears the "Tancredo Factor". That's why Karl Rove came down on Tancredo. Fear!

But at the same time you have these pernicious martricula consular cards spreading, which obviously has GW Bush's approval.

As the "Mexican gasbag" mother cleans up Tancredo Fan's "gasbag" as she cleans toilets to support her family.

Fox isn't a conservative in terms we mean conservative.

neither was Nixon in modern conservative politcal terms, but Nixon was a hell of a lot better than Humphrey and McGovern.

these pernicious martricula consular cards spreading,

They're spreading but not all as fast as you'd have though they would. For one many Mexicans have stolen Social Security cards and don't "need" those cards because they can get everything using their stolen fraudulent IDs. A lot of illegals don't trust the Mexican government very much and are actually reluctant to tell them where they live here. I think they know that the Mexican government would just as quickly sell them out if there was something in it for them. I read only about 900,000 have been taken out.

I'm not completely sure what Fox's game is ---he seems to have no power inside Mexico so maybe strutting around the world and trying to dictate to the US is his only way to make a name for himself. I think the PRD will win the next election.

Wow, I guess in Tancredo Fan's world, cleaning Tancredo Fan's toilet for a wage is a felony.

He/She should clean your toilet for free, I surmise.

It's not completely bad yet ----but Fox has done little in Mexico to bring about the changes they need so badly. Corruption still rules, drug lords still run the country --worse than ever. Crime is exploding in much of Mexico, the society is unraveling quickly. Fox can only be a one term president (they only allow one term) and the term is 6 years. I think there will be upheavals about the time the next elections come.
