Mexico to campaign to legalize workers
11/23/02
MEXICO CITY -- Mexico's foreign minister, Jorge Castaneda, said his country would begin a "bottom-up campaign" to win U.S. public support for a proposal to legalize 3.5 million undocumented Mexican workers in the United States.
Castaneda said Mexican officials will begin rallying unions, churches, universities and Mexican communities.
"What's important is that American society sees a possible migratory agreement in a positive light," Castaneda said. "We are already giving instructions to our consulates that they begin propagating militant activities -- if you will -- in their communities."

I'm sorry that bothers you, but that's life. And it is life that hyperbole gets you nowhere, unless you are Pat Buchanan.
Oops, wait a minute that didn't work for him either, he is singing kumbaya with Bill Press(another hyperbole addict) on one of the lowest rated cable networks.
Seriously get over your Mexican/immigrant paranoia. Get to know one, you may see that they can be a better American than you are.

Why don't you go down to Mexico and make things better for them and us.

You have to forgive Dane, he hates America.

"even if a guest worker program was made fair to US citizens I would still bet that not too far down the line it would be compared with apartied."
Peter Camejo, Green candidate for CA gov compared the current situation to apartheid and supported amnesty.

Why don't you go down to Mexico and make things better for them and us. With no help from you no doubt.
Another 2000 mile Berlin wall on the southern border and all will be right with the world supporter.
Like it or not there is a Mexico and wishing it away will not bring bliss.

"Get to know one"
Awww Dane, all you need is a poster child. She can look so sad as she asks "Why do you evil honkies want to send a poor helpless widdle child like me back to Mexico?"
Stop trying to fool people by appealing to their emotions. Start dealing with facts and look at the big picture.

Yah Dane, why dont you go down there and get to work on your "the elites have got to go" strategy? There will be no need for that once Tacredo replaces Bush in 2004. He is the man with the plan.

Get to know one, you may see that they can be a better American than you are. Oh sure, their first act on American soil was to break the law, what great Americans illegal aliens they are.
The reason I'm concerned with this issue is because I used to live in Arizona and got a taste of illegal immigration and all its problems up close and personal. Some of them lived in the apartment complex I was in, so you might want to think before you write.

Wouldnt you say that trying to interfere with Mexico's internal politics would be far more touchy and "racist" than trying to enforce our borders and immigration which the law and the public already supports?

Stop trying to fool people by appealing to their emotions. Start dealing with facts and look at the big picture. I have Biffy. I can't help it if you hold your hands up to your ears and scream "lalalalalalala" when told the geographical fact that the US shares a 2,000 mile border with Mexico and that that fact can't be wished away.

Wouldnt you both agree that the elites of Mexico have to stop pushing their problems over the borders?

Would you support the enforcement of our immigration laws and borders as long as we dont build a berlin wall?

This is America, speak english or go back to Mexico.

Oh sure, their first act on American soil was to break the law, what great Americans illegal aliens they are. Like I said before. I would rather stand beside an immigrant mother doing an honest days work than a dope smoking lily white limosine liberal whose goal in life is to rail against McDonalds and stands with PETA.
Gotta go, thanks for the conversation.
