President Bush is to speak in Revolution Square (I believe) in a few minutes. There are upwards of 100,000 people there to hear him waving American flags and cheering. The First Lady came in moments ago to a huge ovation, Powell is there as well.
Should be good...waiting enthusiatically.

At some point, regional alliances like NATO should be merged into a global freedom/democracy alliance that combats dictatorships and terrorism.

It wasn't local, it is fox news. First they were in commercial while the Romanian leader was speaking. Then they chattered thru his speech when they came back.

Please keep posting the TV pictures as the sun comes across that crowd.

Making the case for Iraq now. Crowd likes it. Are you listening Saddam? Hmmm? Everyone hates you Saddam. Do it, brother. You won't feel a thing when that bullet rips through your brain.

Ever wonder how much you and every American are now going to get to shell out for the upgrade of all these poor nations' militaries. Let me let you in on a little secret: for Poland, Czeck and Hungary (the richest of all of them) you and I and everyone else got to pay $35 billion dollars...these will probably run double...and now they are planning to admit in Georgia and Azerbjan, two asian countries (well at least Azerbjan is not a failed state like Georgia but they are Muslim) with two soviet era despots at the helm....oh joy...now heck, even Mugabe might get in.

That's OK for the political cover, but the bottom line is the we *are* NATO -- or at least 85-90% of the military power.

I love that mural with the two flags!

The comments vis a vis Russia are very shrewd. Bush is reminding the crowd that this is much bigger than just one country, although they have an important part to pay. This is courageous. I don't imagine there's a huge resevoir of good will between the two nations and he could have avoided this. Good for Bush. This is what we call leadership.

Go Bush! Man what a difference a president can make. This guy is a statesman, an American treasure.

Agreed...It's wonderful having a President who understands what it means to be a real leader! Now if he would lead to secure our borders!!

And with every word that Bush utters, a little more stomach acid irritates Al Gore's already overstressed esophagal lining, as he ponders what might have been if his little helpers in Florida had been able to manufacture just a few more votes after the polls closed ...
What a pleasant day this is going to be.

What a pleasant day this is going to be. Agreed. What a great surprise to start the day! And it's sunny pleasant one here in Toronto, to boot.
To: ChadGore
"Secure" our borders NOT close them.

Al Gore's already overstressed esophagal lining, as he ponders what might have been if his little helpers in Florida had been able to manufacture just a few more votes after the polls closed ... Donna Brazile has got to be the one that knows all the secrets about vote fraud. Maybe someday she'll be doped with truth serum and we'll really find out how it was done.
