I was just a kid when JFK was assassinated. It always puzzled the heck out of me that everybody was scratching
their heads wondering "who did it?" In my kid's mind
it was the easiest thing in the world to descern - all
one had to do was see who the next President is.

. . . all one had to do was see who the next President is.

LBJ must smile from his grave when he sees articles, like this one, without any reference to him.

That's how I always saw it.
Johnson knew Kennedy was for getting out of Vietnam,
the Diem assasination turned him (Kennedy) around.
Johnson needed the war to keep the country's focus
OFF "the Great Society" welfare scheme until it was
too late to do anything about it.

Johnson it was that gave us the Gulf of Tonkin incident also.
Johnson was a hardball democrat, I don't think he'd have hesitated for a minute.

Well, the leaders of nations to be allied in a 10-year-long war dying by assination the same month is a pretty unusual coinicidence.

Hmm. One staunchly anti-communist Democrat is replaced by another staunchly anti-communist Democrat. That sure wraps up the case.

If anyone is interested in the real no-tin-hat story, I recommend reading "Marina and Lee" by Pricilla McMillan.

No kidding!! I always thought that or his wife were part of the cospiracy. Just Fri. on Imus, Jack Valenti said LBJ as cool as a cucumber before being sworn in on Air Force One. I thought maybe Jackie stayed in those bloody clothes for him and Lady Bird to see.
