In the upside-down world of these European demonstrators, democracies are to be condemned and dictatorships coddled.

In the upside-down world of former President Jimmy Carter, the USA is condemned and USA-hating dictatorships coddled.

It's NOT just the Europeans.

The amoral insanity of these Europeans will be repaid many times over through the tender mercies of their Islamic friends. When the European Union becomes the Islamic European Union and their local Taliban start imposing Sharia law, then the gnashing of teeth and the moaning of these fools will be deafining.

In many ways, the widening ideological gulf between Western European countries like Italy and the United States is due to deep ideological mark of communism. Eastern Europe suffered under Communism and knows the evil of Leftism gone awry. In Italy, Communism has never fallen out of vogue.

This is the crux of the matter. The leftists never truly changed their beliefs, just their labels. University students have ignored the history of communism, and its' twin sister, fascism. Most Italians that I know regard the Mussolini era as ancient history, something that never happened, or "he was not so bad as...".

It seems that all of Europe is in a time warp, with many in the younger generation having lost all sense of direction. Older citizens are tired of hearing about the fascist years, and it means nothing to the younger generation. Communism has been resurrected as a great ideal to strive for, not the drunked ideas of a failed politico.

Thankfully someone in Europe is starting to see the truth, if only in snippets. Someone had to vote for the conservatives in the last elections; it certainly wasn't the intelligentsia.

We have friends who moved to Texas from England two years ago to attend seminary. He was already more conservative in his politics than most of his acquaintances in England. Coming to Texas he instantly became the most liberal of the gentlemen in our little group. Two years later, he can't imagine how he will fit in when he returns to England, for he has become even more conservative in his politics and thinking.

It just goes to show that a European can be rehabilitated from the evils of socialism. Now if we could all become a little more Rhodesian in our thinking ....

Europe is heading for a fall... calling it Eurarabia is pretty much on the mark.

The sad news for Europe is that it has allowed its permissiveness and tolerance to move it into this mess. Good qualities until infected by moral relativism.

Our true friends in Europe are the former Eastern European countries, and IMHO, Russia who know what evil lurks in the hearts of bureaucrats and intellectuals and true believers.

One of our future friends, believe it or not, is going to be...

IRAN

Mark my words... a home grown Islamic democracy is brewing in IRAN, for the same reasons as given above.

Europe is the example of multi-culturalism resulting in the society being destroyed.

They demonize power and believe that the underdog must always be right.

Moral blinders, like these, come with a large price tag that always comes back to bite the buyer in the butt...the bill always comes due, payable in full.

Excellent post. I don't bookmark many posts these days - but this one is a keeper. Thanks. This writer understands what is going on.

The Bible speaks of "Gomer and all his hordes" in the "latter days" (Ezekiel)....who are going to come down, sweep down into Israel. For a long time, I could not see how post-WWII Germany/Europe could possibly become the home of the AntiChrist and participate in the movement against Israel that is going to take place (soon).

Sadly, I have lived long enough to see this impossibility become highly possible now. The Bible also speaks of the Lord giving people over to a strong delusion (when they persist in outright rebellion of the truth of God).

I believe this is what is taking place in Europe. They are so blinded by their hatred of America along with being unable and unwilling to throw off the anti-God Socialism they have embraced, that they have now been "given over" to the strong delusion re: Israel / America (BAD) ---- Terrorist butchers (GOOD).

Destruction will follow soon after embracing such delusions - unless God in His mercy intervenes with a "warning" - that cannot be misinterpreted and which will give some a chance to turn back to Him before midnight comes.

Brilliant writer condemn LePen as anti-Semetic for what? Does he expect waves of support from the Left for this? I have always admired the Jewish intellectuals, but lately it seems more like they are singing, "Send in the clowns."

The inability of Europe to truly separate religion from state compounds the problem. No Italian politician can afford to ignore the Catholic Church. British politicians still look toward the Church of England for their moral guidance. When religion and politics mix, it can breed two extremist outcomes: One of fundamentalism as afflicts the Islamic world, and the other of irresponsible pacifism that now afflicts Europe, with an effect equally dangerous.

This is truly a large part of the mix..wait till they find their churchs closed and only the mosques open and the women all in Burkas ..They are a hapless bunch .

The ones with foresight and guts came here to reproduce..what was left over there was the tail ends of the frightened and those that liked having a King tell them how they may live

Thank God we are not there..

It is pretty weird that so many have accepted the media-generated image of LePen as anti-semitic. He's anti-immigrant and with good reason. It's the muslims he wants out, which is why there was such a scream of outrage in France when he placed in the primaries. If he WERE merely anti-semitic, the French would love him as they are anti-semitic too. To brand him as anti-semitic and then defeat him allows the French to pretend that they don't hate Jews. I don't know who they think they are fooling.

If we intend to stay free we must separate ourselves from Europe.
Ah, Shaikyh Nasrallah, the very definition of a mad Arab dog. Perhaps he and his kind will do the world a great service and become extinct.

Bookmarked and bumped!

Out of curiosity, dennisw, the article looks very good with the wide left and right margins.

What is the HTML code to make it appear that way?

Thanks.

My cousin( a female) just got back from Paris. She said the French were rude and nasty, she was only spoken to decently once- by the owner of the small hotel she stayed in.Paris was, she said , beautiful but filthy. The streets especially and the stench is incredible. The water is absolutely undrinkable and nasty to bathe in. All the while the French walked around with their snotty attitudes.
She also brought home some French newspapers. THEY are real eye-openers. Interviews with Parisians on the street( mostly young and unemployed) revealed they think we're war-mongering barbarians. President Bush is more like a dictator than the leader of a democracy, and they all think that the 'attack' on Iraq is motivated by America's hunger for world domination and Middle East oil.
It was like reading a newspaper printed in a time-warp. Are these people on the same PLANET???
