My prayers go up to the family of this young man.

My Son owns and operates a commercial pumping business, and I live in fear of this happening to him or one of his employees.

I understand this business quite well, and it appears this was an earthen lagoon, not to be confused with the newer style cement ones.

Hey Granny, people need to realize that farming can be a very dangerous business. I have heard of numerous stories of little children drowning in lagoons. This is the first I've heard of like this. First, the cab on that tractor is going to be fairly high off the ground level. On many Deeres that's going to be about six to eight feet off the ground. The cab is going to be another six feet high. I have a hard time imagining a lagoon being so deep that it would cover the top of the cab. Second, the cab is not that small. How could this young man "drown" in the cab in such a short amount of time.

Terrible tragedy for this family.
