Hey Granny, people need to realize that farming can be a very dangerous business. I have heard of numerous stories of little children drowning in lagoons. This is the first I've heard of like this. First, the cab on that tractor is going to be fairly high off the ground level. On many Deeres that's going to be about six to eight feet off the ground. The cab is going to be another six feet high. I have a hard time imagining a lagoon being so deep that it would cover the top of the cab. Second, the cab is not that small. How could this young man "drown" in the cab in such a short amount of time.

Terrible tragedy for this family.

Farming is one of the top 5 most dangerous professions in the world.

Earthern lagoons are routinesly 15-20 ft deep, depending on the diameter. There's some wierd mathamatical formula,, can't exactly recall.
