Well, I would HOPE that Hollings wouldn't run. The guy is a dottering old fool but then this is the Senate so who knows? Either way, it's a good chance for the GOP to pick up a seat.

Only 4 NO's so far...after all the complaining and whining...Jeffords votes NO.
To: Wphile
Hollings is also a LIAR! He has lied many times about President Bush..just flat out lies. By the way, we now have 6 NO votes. Byrd, Hollings, Feingold, Inoye, and Jeffords, Levin...
To: kayak
Did you hear a whole bunch of votes came in at once, Jeffords (Jumpin' Jim) voted NO, then a few more, then Allen (I'm not sure where he's from). When she said his name, you could hear in the background him say "No" and then "oh, Aye, Aye", she then repeated his vote as "Aye". Made a mistake, or changed his vote?
To: kayak
Yes in his final statement just before the vote began he said he would support the bill... as will most of them. They can't be seen not supporting the final bill to protect the US

Allen..."Aye". Made a mistake, or changed his vote? George Allen is a conservative Republican from Virginia. I'd be surprised if he didn't vote "Aye." My guess is ia mistake.

He's predicting the American public will be outraged by the special interest provisions in the homeland security bill.Oh, yes, all my neighbors are upset because Eli Lily might will be able to actually manufacture and distribute a drug that may damn well save their lives.
Of course, they're MORE worried that the lawyers won't be able to put Lily out of business if ONE PERSON has an adverse reaction, so we can all die of smallpox. /sarcasm off

You mean HELLary waddled up and gronked a reluctant aye while adopting her famous horror face seen whenever Patriotic moments occur -- also famous for her left hand salute over heart (as if there were one) when the National Anthym is played.
