They are just stalling to be spiteful, hateful, and mean. Typical behavior of RATS.

just what do they put in Byrd's cereal every morning? This guy is like a wind up toy that just won't break. WRRRR..Wrrr...Wrrrrr... Wrrr... wouldn't you hate to be stuck at the family Thanksgiving dinner next to him? The relatives probably draw straws and the short one sits next to him. Danger of falling asleep in the potatoes listening to him.

cloture - The only procedure by which the Senate can vote to place a time limit on consideration of a bill or other matter, and thereby overcome a filibuster. Under the cloture rule (Rule XXII), the Senate may limit consideration of a pending matter to 30 additional hours, but only by vote of three-fifths of the full Senate, normally 60 votes.
----

the cloture vote limits debate.. stops "unlimited" debate. it sounds like they agreed to 2 hours additional debate...

be patient... vote will be completed TODAY... and hopefully the terrorism insurance and judicial nominee also..

Isn't two hours an unusually long lunch break for Congress? I remember thinking to myself how short a half-hour lunch break was when I heard it called during a hearing.

Thank God for Conrad Burns. At least we might have a few seconds of sanity before the lunancy starts again. Hopefully he lethally elbowed a few of the nitwits on his way to the mike.

Ahh.. I see (I think). The cloture vote does not mean no debate but, instead it prohibits a filbuster?

Yes, the vote will not come until tonight. CNN is very busy today dissing the Homeland Security Department and carrying the RATS water. Everything they say is negative. They are in full get the GOP mode.

By the way, they are also carrying Saddam's water, saying he is going to fully comply, blah, blah, blah. We have many enemies in this country, including the media above all.
