Thank you. The Lieberman amendment was defeated??? Along with the Daschle amendment? How sweet it is! And the Thompson amendment was approved?? And now the entire bill will be approved after being stalled forever by the Demonic Dems? And please somebody tell me - does this mean these agencies will give the President the freedom he needs to hire into these jobs THE PEOPLE QUALIFIED FOR THEM AND NOT THE CLINTON HOLDOVERS WHO WOULD BE MANDATED TO BE THERE IF THE DEMS HAD GOTTEN THEIR WAY?

Correctomundo, Freedom! I have long thought that part of this is to get TRUSTWORTHY people defending the nation all in one department, and allow the rest to stay where they are and push papers. It is strategery.

I notice that Johnson (D-SD) voted with the dems in every instance. Dang, sure wish that John Thune had won that one! South Dakotans must be so proud - NOT!

The RATS are trying to throw in some "farmers drought assistance" bill right now (2:22 EST)? Bring home more pork in the lame duck instead of actually voting on Homeland Security. This sounds about typical to me for the RATS.

FOXNews showed Trent Lott calling President Bush aboard Air Force 1 giving him the news that Homeland Security had passed.

Ya know...Trent Lott really is, just a cheerleader.

When are they going to get to the terrorism insurance? And Judge Shedd? That's what I want to see.

Well, they can take it out of the farm bill. The farm bill called for certain "market loss provisions" which did not take effect because the market went up and those appropriations will not be made. The money is in the farm bill. They don't need a separate provision.
