Clinton urges Japanese students to work for peace (Hold Muh Sushi Alert!)

MITO, Japan, Nov. 19 (Kyodo) _ Former U.S. President Bill Clinton on Tuesday urged Japanese high school students to interact with people of different nationalities and religions to create a better world.

He spoke to 1,700 students in the city of Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture on international affairs and Japan-U.S. relations. He stressed cooperation among people of different cultural backgrounds is indispensable in making the international community free from the threat of terrorism.

On North Korea, Clinton praised Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's landmark visit to Pyongyang in September, saying he expects Japan to play a big role to deter the North from developing nuclear weapons by cooperating with the U.S. and South Korea.

A local civic group formed in April invited the former president. According to the group, Clinton is to meet university students in the prefecture on Wednesday, but his itinerary has not been disclosed.

No Japanese person has so much disrespect for foreigners in this age except the mafia and splinter politic groups, because to be a child in Japan means you must learn English under a foriegner during junior and high school, and to be an adult means your children are taught by foriegners and foriegners are ALWAYS SEEN in non-stereotypical views displayed on TV.

Yeah, if by foreigner you mean only Anglo-Saxon.

When I lived in Japan, the people who used the word gaijin the most were us gaijin. It become like 'nigga'. I got so used to hearing it from my friends, I burst out laughing when a bus driver called me 'gaijin-sama.' All I could think of was 'honorable mister nigga.'

I dunno. They have quite a few programs with blacks, arabs, and so on. They have one show on at night that has a black, an iranian arab, a russian, and malaysian (i think) that all speak japanese proficiently. most blacks over here who are not in the military, counting out an aquainence of mine from wakayama, are run-aways from africa and simply stand in front of hip-hop clothes stores. they make a hell a lot more money than they do in africa.
