I've thought the same for years. The harder the fedguv works to "cover up" in order to protect the delicate sensibilities of the American people, the harder the frustrated terrorists have to work to convey their message. They can't very well be effective terrorists if the people they hope to terrorize are shaking their collective heads over the misfortune of those poor souls aboard all those faulty aircrafts, or in those decrepit old buildings. Can't you just imagine their sinister glee turning to exasperated foot-stomping in their hidden safe-houses as their carefully planned and executed masterpiece is attributed to a frayed wire or a faulty bolt?

That's a very good point you raised. Ask yourself this question: If only one aircraft had crashed into the World Trade Center on 9/11, do you think the story line that was put together afterward would have been the same?

Years ago I read a science fiction novella in which the modus operandi of the gov't is to "sanitize" all terrorists attacks in order to prevent the spread of panic, deny the terrorists a forum, and not incidentally keep those at the top in place!Sorry, forget the title and author, but it was plausible and chilling.
