Yup, no surprise. When I saw he had a non-muslim name, I immediately skimmed the article for his religion. Sure enough...there it was.

Well, the good thing is that if al-Qaida is down to using guys who are 49 years old, we must be making progress.

They're looking for people who don't fit the usual profile, so we'll have to profile everybody.

The English-born, middle aged, white (I assume) and previously Christian, Jack Roche, is exactly what they need.

It's not good news that Al Qaeda found and trained him.

Is Muhamed Ali the typical suspect?

Oh then it must be Mike Tyson. He is the violent type and
a converter to Islam. (talk about a bad career move)

No, he's a famous guy that everybody knows. He's not a suspect.

Yes, he's a famous guy that everybody knows. He is a suspect.

(Famous people make poor test cases in either case.)

But English-born Mr Roche, a convert to Islam 10 years ago,

Go figure. More of that religion of peace, right?
They don't do it for no Allah. They do it because they like to hate. They like to kill.

But English-born Mr Roche, a convert to Islam 10 years ago, recently admitted attending meetings in Australia with Abu Bakar Bashir, the alleged spiritual head of outlawed terror group Jemaah Islamiah.

He also told Australian newspapers he was trained to use explosives in Afghanistan two years ago. [I'll bet that training wasn't for mining applications.]

Say it ain't so, Jack! I have it on good authority that this is a "RELIGION OF PEACE"... but maybe I'm living in the Twilight Zone this week... I could've sworn I heard Pelosi say she was a "conservative Catholic" too...

This guy fits the lily white mold, and I don't mean by his skin pigment.
