WASHINGTON --
Secretary of State Colin Powell said Monday he is trying to expand programs to bring educators, journalists and political and religious leaders from Islamic countries to the United States.
"We are committed to ensuring that our programs reach out to Muslims in all walks of life," Powell told a gathering of Muslim-Americans at an Iftaar, the end-of-the-day meal that breaks daylong fasts during the holy month of Ramadan.
Powell said the United States also is committed to enhancing understanding by building hope.
"From the mountains of Afghanistan to the valleys of Bosnia to the plains of Africa to the forests of Asia and around the world we are on the ground working with our Muslim partners to expand to the circle of peace, the circle of prosperity, the circle of freedom," he said.
Describing extremism and violence as America's greatest enemies, Powell said, "We must not listen to the siren song of the bigots, extremists who cloak themselves in false spirituality in an attempt to divide and to weaken us."

Is this guy gone off his rocker or what?
Yes, we should respect the peaceful Muslims who are in the country legally.
But lets NOT expand any program to bring more of them here. Sheesh!

I wonder if he was wearing a headband and bellbottoms when he said this.

Appease our enemy by allowing more of them in. We are infidels to them whether they act like it or not. At some point when they are powerful enough we will share the same fate as Somalia, The Philipines and half the world. Being nice to them will only embolden them and make us look truly weak and stupid. Seal our borders and expel all illegal aliens and then reveiw all the legal ones.

BUSH AND POWELL ARE IN THE ENEMIES POCKET
"The level of anti-Muslim rhetoric from commentators, religious leaders, and now elected officials, is getting out of hand and is poisoning the minds of many ordinary Americans. Only a strong statement from President Bush will put these people on notice that anti-Muslim bigotry will not be accepted in our society," said CAIR Board Chairman Omar Ahmad.

It's official - America's over six million Muslims should vote for George W. Bush as the country's next president on November 7.
This endorsement was made October 23 by the American Muslim Political Coordinating Council Political Action Committee (AMPCC-PAC).
Not all support Bush One group representing a number of African-American Muslims, the Coalition for Good Government, did not support the endorsement of Bush. As well, a number of Muslim immigrants have expressed support for Gore and Green Party presidential candidate Ralph Nader in the upcoming election.

Describing extremism and violence as America's greatest enemies.... That's right, Colon. And it just so happens that the most extreme and violent among us are Muslims. So, you want to bring more of them in? Brilliant.

. . .a brain chip implant victim or just a committed Liberal. . .
What is Bush's response to this promise for Muslim redemption - or rather, America's redemption - for Muslims?

"Either you are with us or you are with the terrorists."
President George W. Bush, September 20, 2001
I guess we know which side Colin Powell and the state department are on now.
