It looks like Rush is no longer supplying free audio streams over the internet. The old link [http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/rush8.asx] no longer works. His website now sports a list of affiliates, but as far as I can tell, all of their servers have crashed under the load.

He wants you to pay to listen to his stream now. Memo to Rush: What the hell is this, capitalism or something?

Am I missing something here? I just spent the last 3 hours listening to Rush on the internet through one of the affiliates that HE LISTS ON HIS WEBSITE. I didn't pay a penny.

Because, Tom dear, there are a cavalcade of crybabies in the world. Many of the loudest whiners are right on FR, who think the world owes them--that the right to free streamed audio is a Constitutionally Protected Sacred Right.

If CC or Rush want to block the feed from stations they'll just have some assistant go through all of their stations' websites tomorrow. There are only around 600 stations!

What a bunch of disingenuous marketing-droid double speak. Why couldn't she have given an honest answer: "After a great deal of debate, we decided to alter our business model and rely on our local affiliates to provide free streams of The Rush Limbaugh Show. We regret that we can no longer afford to supply this service, but we are most grateful that the affiliates were able to pick up the slack."

While they don't monitor per se, they do periodically check and the lady who is the editor of the limbaugh letter is a regular poster and she does troll the "limbaugh" threads.

So many of these conservative talk show hosts are freepers or lurk here in Free Republic. They use our tips and breaking stories every day on their shows.

If Rush can't stream his audio to the internet anymore without a charge, then maybe Free Republic should charge him to use our threads on his show.

Include prominent politicians (left and right), as well as liberal talk show hosts... Every thing found in major broadcast media is at least a few hours old on FR...

Every single day, I see things on the network that were available here sooner...and more accurately here as well..
