Thanks, this is an excellent article. I have book marked it.
The only way to handle terrorism is to root out the terrists and arrest them or kill them. Then arrest of who have enabled them to be terrorists with financial support or by criminal abetting support.

After three decades of befuddled acquiescence, we now have leaders who understand that terrorism can be beaten down and eradicated but only through the use of extreme measures. Attorney General John Ashcroft, Vice President Dick Cheney and President George Bush are prepared to take these measures for our security and safety. We owe them a debt of gratitude for standing firm. We owe them our support.Wow, knock me over with a feather ping.
Mountaineer, do you know this writer?
Thanks JeanS.

Great find, Jean! Thanks for posting it. Now, would someone send this to li'l Tommy Daschle, with a cover explanation that the current MAN in the White House is actually doing the people's business instead of giving the people the business while receiving the business from an intern? Oh, and it might be nice to point out to the fool from South Dakota that intel generated by/through the actions in Afghnaistan is what allowed the U.S. to defang these terrorist cells ... and that is sure as hell is huge success, a vast improvement, when compared to Tommy's deviant buddy lobbing missiles into empty terrorist camps and flattening aspirin factories in the Sudan. [Can ya tell I don't like the quisling Daschle with the little man complex?]

The biggest terrorist attack in American history came on his watch. He did't save the 3000 massacred in New York City. (that may have been Clinton's legacy) But the next attack is his legacy.

Now, would someone send this to li'l Tommy Daschle, with a cover Done:
Because you have stated your concern about protecting all Americans and are striving to come up with alternative ideas to protect us, I suggest you read "George Bush's action saves American lives," by Dateline, U.S. (http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-review/opinion/datelinedc/s_102788.html)
You should also be aware that most Americans believe the current MAN in the White House is actually doing the people's business instead of giving the people the business while receiving the business from an intern.
Also, intel generated by/through the actions in Afghanistan is what allowed the U.S. to defang these terrorist cells ... and that sure is a huge success and a vast improvement, especially when compared to what you have done for the past 8 years and what your president did, lobbing missiles into empty terrorist camps and flattening aspirin factories in the Sudan.
P.S. Did you forget that Clinton was aware of and could have gotten bin Laden, years ago? Because Clinton got a pass from you for that.

"Dateline D.C." is written by a Washington, D.C.-based British journalist and political observer. I've never heard who writes this column for the Trib.

"But the next attack is his legacy."
Maybe, maybe not.
9/11 was the stainmakers legacy because he had spent years selling out the USA and undermining our defenses. In addition, he passed up several opportunities to capture Bin Laden, and when he finally took action against Al Queda, it was ineffective.
Bush has done much better, although failing to control our borders is a big mistake. If the next big terror attack in the US is executed by people who came here illegally on Bush's watch, he must take the blame. If it is executed by legal residents or citizens, Bush is off the hook.

You're simply ignorning the fact that many FBI agents discovered the plot of 9/11 before it occurred. This can not be allowed to happen with a WMD. That is unacceptable. If it happens, I want Bush out.

I've e-mailed so much in the past, I'd bet the SD senator's office now erases my things without even reading them! Glad you sent the message along. [Now they can start erasing you too. LOL]

You are twisting the truth and you know it. The FBI didn't know that the terrorists were planning to fly airplanes into the WTC. Do you really believe that?

Have you read Agent Colleen Rowley's memo? I suggest you read it in light of all the recent warnings from FBI.
