I watched for less than one minute, the rest I read here this morning. I saw Tipper say that she thought the Supreme Court should not have taken the case. That is should have been left to the Florida Supreme Court.....I'LL BET!

No one has mentioned the statement from Barbara Walters in the beginning of the show, where she explained why they were doing such a long and detailed show about Gore. It went something like this:

"Since the election last week, a renewed interest in Al Gore has surfaced so we thought we'd bring ..... "

Of course, my first thought was, "No, you're wrong. The only renewed interest in Al Gore is with you and your fellow compatriots."

Then they proceeded to show footage of Al Gore, obviously done prior to the election of him driving in his car talking to the camera they had placed beside him and footage of him campaigning for candidates across the country. It was pretty clear to me they thought the Democrats would win the house and senate and they'd be sitting pretty with their footage and helping boost Al back in the voters minds to being the next Democratic Presidential candidate.

They really do live in another world.

Barbara: "The under 21 crowd thinks he's a rock star."

The under 21 crowd missed the PMRC Senate hearings.

Jann Wener gave them this instead:

Barbara: "Al Gore took a JOB as a business executive." YEAH...FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE HE GOT A JOB.

Wasn't Monica rewarded for her silence with a pretty good job? When does Algore find time to go to work in California when he's busy writing books, scampaigning, fundraising, doing a book tour, running a restaurant, being a slumlord, making speaking engagements, teaching at college, etc...

"Count all the ballots"....WHAT A WHINER!

Any interviewer that would let him spout out that talking point without countering it with a question about the military ballots doesn't know anything about followup questions.

God, they have so little to say that they put the pics of 250 families in their book. Guess that really "says" it all.

Sure. 250 families will buy the book for themselves this year. Then there is Grandma and Grampa, Mom and Dad, and that nice family down the street... Looks like Christmas shopping will be easy this year for the families in the book. And the book can also be given as a gift at Mother's Day and Father's Day. How many sales will they get just to the families in the book???

This should be good for a couple thousand in sales alone.

I think in-fact many miltary ballots were NOT counted!
So his prayers were answered and our militry lost it's voting rights over-seas to some extent.

Without having some of "our guys" as anchors and interviewers it certainly is.

Softball questions for the Rats, hardball questions and curves for the Republicans.

The "Nod" was priceless indeed. You interpreted it perfectly. What Weird Albert was trying to do, IMO, was a reprise of Billyboy's "alpha male" act during the '96 debate with Dole where he was free to roam around on the stage behind Dole as Dole was speaking.

The TV angle made it look like Clinton was looming large behind an unsuspecting prey--which is exactly what the media and the DNC had arranged beforehand, the scum.

Trouble for Algore was that he didn't have the cooperation of the cameramen and producers--a failure to plan ahead, as it were, so it fell flat.

Stupid Gore, it never occurred to him that these things depend on timing and camera angle, have to be choreographed and orchestrated ahead of time!

The stooge thought it would just happen naturally because he wanted it to!

Poor Al...he just can't cut the mustard.

How vividly I recall. Clinton wished to appear the bully, ready to attack an aging war veteran who'd lost the use of an arm in the fight.

I later saw Bob Dole at the Wydham in Albuquerque talking to a roomful of vets. During the question and answer period he smiled and said, "Now there's a man who's done his homework."

It was an honor to shake his hand and that of Elizabeth Dole.

It would be an honor to operate the ramp of a cargo plane to drop Gorroid and traitor-rapist42 onto Saddam's palace, duct-taped to a BLU-118.

Well, I think you're not right here, he was a senator and it's useless to say that he didn't have a job, unless you think being a politician is not a job. If that's your view, you need a new country.

If someone feeds at the public trough their entire lives, especially someone who feeds at the public trough by virtue of being a member of the lucky sperm club, has, in my opinion, NOT had a real job.

OTOH, those privileged by birth who decide to take a risk and move into a private venture have my DECIDED respect. John F. Kennedy, Jr. was one of those men. I didn't necessarily agree with his politics, but he wasn't like many of the public Kennedys: living off a dying legacy. JFK Jr. at least tried something new, that GQ cum Politics "George". Same with our current President. He could have kicked back and lived a life of relative luxury...but he tried his hand at the private sector. I respect that.

What a laugh! No one from the RNC or the Bush campaign told me to come to Washington to yell at the VP.
