The greens do apply the same principle in both arenas. The precautionary principle is essentially a presumption. A burden of proof if you will.

In the 'invade Iraq' arena, the greens apply a similar presumption--don't ever go to war unless American interests are not at stake.

There's a lot wrong with greens; but they are not inconsistent in this regard.

Your right. Saddam is a Stalinist/Marxist and so are the greenies, they are not anti-war, but pro-Saddam. American interest are not even in consideration.
